COD: Modern Warfare 3

mw 2019 is still best modern cod by far. sadly not that busy or full of cheaters. still a great game though. mw2 is miles better than mw3. doesnt matter about performance the graphics are sub par. as said play on the beta then go straight to modern warfare 3. if you think they going to overhaul the graphics. no chance.
Yeah last time I dipped in I was getting shot through walls consistently. Gutted as I loved that game. Though the fact I had quite a few obsidian guns probably suggests I played a bit too much!

I got so bored of MW2 I haven't played properly since after the 2nd season. Felt like a step back from MW19. It's a shame it didn't have dedicated servers but that's what AV want. Otherwise people would be flocking back to that one.

My biggest issue with MW2 is the lack of enemy footsteps no matter what audio settings i run with.
I have a pretty good headset Epos H6Pro with no issues with any other game, the directional audio is terrible in MW2.
I know that guy Art of war edits the sound using a tonne of software but i really dont want to go down this route so im curious what audio settings someone with your experience with the game use if you dont mind sharing?
I find MW2019 so much better in this respect, same with Cold war.
There is no denying that footsteps are poor in MW2. You mainly hear them as people run, i generally run and then as I get to areas that are popular with players start walking to mask the footsteps. I also use an X4 soundcard with footsteps enhanced.

MW3 is way better with footsteps.

footsteps comes down to a lot of thing. windows settings , headphones , speakers, in game settings some people just cant hear as good as others lots of things. lol use default hear all footsteps fine on a logitech headset. no tweaking. yet some will be in game never heard him. mw3 isnt no better than any of the other games for foot steps. just set your game up right

i fired up the Beta earlier, and it doesnt feel great, running, switching weapons feels janky sort of, all settings pretty much same as mw2, even booted mw2 up for a blast, and no issues there, graphically its irrelevant as its a fast paced shooter so aint exactly got the time to stand there and think, ooh nice graphics, well you can, but you wont last long
been playing Cod since dawn of time and im not a fan of this MP so far, though Rust is fun as always

I was fully with ya until you said rust is fun :)

Shipment is the only map I ever play (if it's available), otherwise Nuketown. Rust isn't too bad.
Other COD maps bore me and I don't really play them

COD MW2 is pretty good, I've had a lot of fun with DMZ and quick play maps too but now it's becoming a money mill, constant new skins and Blackcell. The battle pass now takes a lot longer to complete IMO. I wish they would keep the guns the same and not rebalance them constantly.

MW3 beta, I played it on my girlfriends Xbox and it's basically MW2 but with a new set of guns and they are bringing back old well known maps. I see it more as an add-on.

One thing I would love to see on both games, is being able to do campaign with another person online. That would be a selling point for me.

There are some CO-OP missions arent there?

i played the campaign, but i found all the non shooting bits, very frustrating.

How's the campaign going for the early players?
It’s awful, the first mission is a call back to the old days of COD but that’s it. The open combat missions are just the multiplayer maps with go here press X objective. You can just sprint around and do them in 5 minutes.

It’s lazy game design and such a shame as the previous campaign was pretty good.

I’ve asked for a refund.

Campaign is so bloody bad. I’m genuinely gutted as I always look forward to COD campaigns. Cinematics are good but the fact they’ve gone to Warzone style gameplay for most missions is so lazy.

And it really doesn’t work, it’s not fun and it ruins any kind of immersion from the tension and storyline they try to build throughout the level

What were they thinking!? Well, I know what they were thinking, maximum profit for minimal effort. It’s such lazy game design

First COD since the wall running one that I won’t be buying.

In fact I think I’ve bought every single COD game ever released apart from that and this one.

Warzone/Fortnite doesn’t do it for me I’m afraid.

The first open mission was a bit of a novelty but there's too many of them imo. I haven't finished it yet, but most missions seem to be open?

Shame because the actual first mission was good.

Woke up to find £175 paid into my account from the bank because I switched to them last month. Thought I grab this for the weekend, after the disappointing comments. I will wait for it to be cheaper.

I might stick with MW2 for multiplayer and see if players remain online or it everyone moves over to MW3.

I cannot justify £70 for what is basically a £20 expansion pack.

If I'm struggling to find online games to join then I suppose I'll have to pony up the cost.
