COD4 - seta com_maxfps "0"

Hi, i noticed when i set this to zero from the default of 85, the game started to freeze, then recover about 30 secs later. I have since reduced the value to 100. Is this a common issue?

try setting it to 999

by setting it to 0 your actually stopping it from running frames hence why its called MAXfps

I did not reply as I though it was a "wind up".

Is that Multiplayer as COD4 does not Cap at 85FPS for me.

when setting fps put in /com_maxfps 0 to get highest fps when looking at floor or sky.then adjust to what figures you getting./com_maxfps 125 for example.also turn off vsync.

When you set it to zero its unlimited.So it goes to your highest fps

Indeed, the OP has asked a perfectly normal question, maxfps 0 just doesn't cap your fps at all. Set your maxfps to 125 for best results.

I like how all of the idiots in this thread are having a go at the OP, even though he asked a very reasonable question, and everybody replying didnt know that setting /com_maxfps to 0 means that your setting the frame rate to unlimited.

Maybe 0 does mean unlimited or somit but not everyone knows that so you can see why we lol at him. I mean common sence if you look at the word "maxfps" and then the number 0 meaning none or zero frames per sec. You can easily come to the conclusion we all did.
