You could do that in starcraft and online that has the steepest learning curve of all the RTS games I've played.

They do precisely squat. Planes literally appear, destroy buildings then disappear, the SAM doesn't seem to be able to react fast enough which is why I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong.

Played the demo campaign level and OMFG ION CANNON! it destroyed the enemys base in 1 haha. I have noticed a few things that have been stolen from generals i.e the buggys that fire rockets and the promoting system on units. A few bugs also noticed, the juggernaut all of a sudden starts hovering while on the move. Noticed a few well known actors in the movie clips aswell (the scilon/women from battlestar Galacticer) (Sawyer from lost) (The luetienent from Starship Troopers). All in all a gd game but patches are needed to sort a few bugs/glitches

When youre in the skirmish screen, choose nod from the drop down, dont click it simply highlight it.

The since Nod starts with 'N' hit 'N' and click at the same time... it might take a try or two.

You have now selected nod. Works also as selecting Nod to fight against.

beam cannon can be used to increase the obleisks range and firepower, pretty good.

I tried that with the 3rd faction, doesn't seem to be built into the game as there were no buildings (i was defeated before i got started)

Has anyone had any problems with the installer? My pc keeps freezing up whenever I try to run it!

Could be a number of reasons.

Redownload the executable. Yeah, it's large, but if you wanna play it then it shouldn't matter.

# Hardware: Defective or mismatched components in your computer. Have you overclocked anything in your computer, any components overheating, do you have a sufficient power supply?

# Software: Have you recently installed a new O/S, have you installed other software/drivers in the last few days, have you checked your hard drives for errors?

After you find the fault, give your drive a defrag if you haven't done so already and get gaming!

its a demo! of course there are going to be bugs/glitches here and there. those mech walkers are just brutal against tanks! the mammoth tanks arent exactly slouches either.

whats the difference between the sniper team from the barracks and the one from the sidebar? ones costs 1000 iirc and the other 2500..

give it a moment, the installer seems to cripple my AV (disables it) which in turn slows the computer right down, due to its size it cant scan it, has a hissy fit then enables itself again.

I didnt know the fit bird from House was in this game, instant classic in my eyes.

I think this will be a traditional C&C in single player but multiplayer will probably be apalling.

Love it! Earlier in this thread I said I loved the simplistic pick up and play gameplay of c+c and this is no different, I tried Supreme Commander and CoH but they were too complex for me

Played the GDI Demo mission last night, loved it.

This is true C&C at its best. Ion cannon kicks ass, took out their base in 2 shots rofl.

Can't wait for it to come out next month, had it on pre-order for 2 months already

this is going to be the key for this i think. SupCom is so deep it takes ages for a "quick" game but c&c is build stuff and kill stuff in an hour. i really like it, it looks good, runs well on my system, has that guy from starship troopers in it, has some hot women and plays well. all good

Yeah, it's really awesome to see some nice actors in there!!

What a game! This is definately going to be on my buy list! I tried the prologue and the first mission with the mammoth tanks - that was cool..although shame I had to go to work before I had a chance to finish the mission - also sad that I couldn't save my progress

Can't wait until the game is out! And by the way did you notice how much power the ion cannon got....wtf!!! It's like a nuke!

Played it last night and loved it. Running Vista and had to download some DirectX updates but once that was done I was up and running. Runs nice and smooth and I was loving it. Only did the training and first campaign mission though.

How the hell did it take anyone 2 ion cannon shots to destroy the base, 1 seemed to do it for me, although maybe I did it a bit a bit more central and got all of the mission tragets.

Definitely look at buying this one!
