Commodore Amiga owners thread!

Konix speedking was my weapon of choice. I had that thing in bits almost daily trying to keep it going, I remember glueing bits of carved A.B.S. into place to hold the microswitches after the original insides snapped into bits.

I think my 500+ and possibly my CD32 are still in my parents attic. The CD32 kind of bombed, I only had a few games but the ones that were on it were awesome. I remember many many hours spent on Alien Breed Tower assault and Zool, Tower assault had the best intro ever at the time.

You might want to get that Amiga CD32 out, as there have been many many unofficial CD 32 releases over these last few years :p

Bitmap Brothers Collection to name but one

I have an A500 and also recently acquired an A500+ which is not working. I found the battery has leaked on the mainboard so now going to attempt to repair it.

I've got a late Escom A1200 (with some sort of expansion upgrade) and a couple of mint A600s. Had them boxed up for years with the intention of reliving my early gaming hey-days.

In truth I haven't found any time to really use them. I've tried a few old games and realised they are actually really hard and don't have much in the way of save points. Games are much easier these days :D

I need to pick up a new joystick from somewhere to give these machines another bash, before the GF bins the lot. Anyone got any joystick recommendations?

That'll be the Zipstick then. I didn't mind that or the Competition Pro. Got multiples of both.

I started off with one of these...

and then progressed to a mini comp pro later on..

(although mine was black/red)

I have an Amiga RGB to Scart cable, although I can also use the supplied cables to the original Amiga monitor :D. Modulator = RF

Yep silly me, RF :o

Also remember it cable with a little Y cable phono jack thing for the stereo out to modulator, but I was hardcore and ran it to my ye olde Technics amp blasting out Megablast from Bomb the Bass (Xenon 2).

Anyone have Sound/Pro/Octa tracker with the Axel F demo ?

My yellow and black zipstick was a beast of a joystick. It survived for many years before being sold on in perfect working condition

I can't believe I sold all my Amiga stuff years ago as a bundle at a carboot sale for about £30 (Boxed Amiga 500+ with 1mb upgrade, 3 joysticks, 30 odd boxed games and maybe 50 or 60 non boxed games)

Does anyone use a scart to hdmi converter and upscaler they would recommend?

This thread has made me want to get playing with these machines again, but i dont have access to my old rgb monitor atm.
