coh 1 is miles better it's not even a contest hate how they are trying to kill off coh 1 with the barely working steamworks server

You serious mate, it came out in 2006! I'd say its had a pretty LONG life in game terms

I've played over 200 hours, I enjoy it but god damn sometimes it's so frustrating. 1 out of 3 games will be laggy and it won't even be the person's fault, a conflict occurs between 2 players connections. Units have a weird delay and path finding is relatively bad. It's worth a buy but I wish I waited for sale.

Shame you can't pick your opponent from a list that also displays the 'ping' of the players, as you could in COH1

Is this worth buying yet? LOVED the first one but was very unimpressed with the Beta of COH2 and from what I've read the finished product isn't much better. Now COH has gone across to Steam I'm struggling to find games so am toying with the idea of getting COH2.

Play the steam version of COH1? It's free if you have the retail version, just put the key into steam and download the new version.

I have COH2, bought in the sale, but haven't loaded it up since the beta.

I just managed to use one in conjunction with the 33% discount and got the game for £12.05!! If anyone is keen check out my thread below.

the game runs fine for me, just wish they would allow multi GPU's to work

i feel that they should have more units to choose from as well, the blitzkrieg mod for the original coh was amazing, so many different uints to choose from and pop cap removed mean i could have a strong army and a lot of artillery behind to support them.

just have to wait and see if anything like this happens

It does not justify the performance for what it looks like, 50fps avg for what looks like a slightly upgrade from COH1 which runs amazing now days.

People actually purchased this game? I remember playing the beta and how quickly I uninstalled it and went back to COH 1.

Was funny when the 9 AT guns I had struggled to take out a Puma.

you must be talking about coh1, no Puma in coh2, but I know what you mean coh2 still as arcade as coh1.

No puma exists in the game.

Game has changed a fair amount since Beta. I like Coh2. Put almost 300 hours into it. Tried playing some of coh1 past few weeks but I actually find my self going back to Coh2.

I'm guessing you have not been playing coh1 all that long, as it took a long time for the game to become balanced.
