COMPETITION - Design a System Landing Page for Xenomorph & Predator - WINNER POST 282

I created mine at work on calibrated monitors, but having looked at it on my laptop the blacks look messed up. Does the bottom of the case look all blocky?

First one looks the best so far in my opinion, but agreed that the second one looks empty

There are some very very talented people on these boards and I don't think I stand much of a chance but that said, I love giving it a go.

Bah have been trying to learn photoshop for like 48hours now! All I've learnt so far is how to make some stars and some lightning; pretty useless! I hope we get some competitions for noobs like me :P
 
Its going to look like ive copied because ive been waiting for my account to be verified, I tried to incorporate a few different elements, the case like the obelisk from 2001, the text i tried to merge 2 styles, seeing as AvP is a comic book franchise first (films? what films?) i tried to make the text look comic book'ish and also like fight posters Person Vs Person.

Yeah, it does look like a mix between mine and Chronic's. :p

Also, the walls of text look a bit unsightly.

Hardly unsightly i wanted it to match so it all fit in a block rather than sentences of differing lengths which imho look more 'unsightly'
 
Yeah I agree too much text in a lot of these. Don't need to list the full spec for both systems as the only real difference is the gfx card. I would do a design but I'm a talentless cretin.

Well. Draft one of my new design (Copyright* Free).

Went for the metalic rustic look:

Edit2: Changed to make it look more like metal...less like cloud.
