People need to stop whining not you, but the other people at the beginning of the thread.
 
skippi90 - VERY nice. Great design.

Only thing I would say is perhaps the 'customise and buy' buttons should fit more with the shapes being used in the rest of the design (i.e. the description boxes above).

I think you're agreeing with me but don't realise it or didn't understand my sarcastic post.
If you are putting in designs then you are obviously treating it like a bit of fun with hopefully a prize at the end.

I'm waiting for Spie to start a 'Compose a tune for the OCUK web site and win a Soundblaster' and then all the kids who went to Uni to learn Pro Tools can have a go at the winner who threw something together in Audacity.
It's a bit of fun people.
 
The thought has just occurred to me that the Alien vs Predator game (the 2010 one) came out like 3/4 months ago. As a marketing ploy, has this not missed the boat a little?
 
How mcuh does it cost to use these images/brand names then?

Is it a one off payment or a continuing fee/percentage system?

Nah, the names won't be a problem. The imagery will, though. Don't expect to see our multi-jawed friends on the finished live page.

Skippi90 has already won this. The "It's time to pick sides" is very fitting slogan given ati Vs nvidia is the only difference between the systems, coupled with the aliens Vs Predator it works on 2 levels to reinforce the message. TBH that slogan should be given slightly more prominence to make it stand out, perhaps make the text white, and decrease the focus on the OCUK logo, you want your eyes drawn to the phrase. A team of marketing guys would have been slapping each others back after thinking up that phrase.
 
Agreed Skippi has def got the edge upto now, unless someone really comes up with the goods...i am now not even going to attempt an entry because of it :p

Agree with bubo though, that slogan is awesome and needs to stand out a little more, maybe make the ocuk logo fit inside the planet and blend it in a little so the slogan is more prominant

And maybe just the text on the customise buttons with a highlight or soemthing just to make that stand out a little more as well?

Short of that mate i think youve just got yourself a nice shiny new case, gratz :)
