Competitors - a clarification

I think that if OcUK was more competitive with games I would think it was fair game but at the moment I think that other companies offer better deals and more range, I can remember OcUK selling car products but we were still allowed to talk about Halfords etc...

yes so you can talk about them as you not directing business elsewhere whereas saying dell will save you one millllllllllllion pound if you buy it from them would be against the competitors rule.

Next you will be saying cant talk about google, as google have google shop which will compare anything you put in there and give you a the cheapest price, its not a hard rule to follow, just apply some logic

So under that logic, why ban the mere mention of "Amazon" like Valkia was saying?
 
This is why the thread is going around in circles. There still isn't any clarification on what the rules are. All people want is to know what they can and can't post about.

At the moment the rules state that...

"To be clear, kindle fine, games we don't sell fine, hardware not cool, games we sell (yeah, all of them) not cool."

...but there are still multiple threads about games which are sold on OCUK, and there is no mention of the rainforest place, which people got banned for mentioning even though they didn't specify games OCUK sold?

Personally, I just want clarification. Could this happen please?

I'm not really interested in an apology from either, Damage done. Others might appreciate it more. Made me feel like a very unwelcome member.

How long will we have to wait for the announcement? Will it be a big sticky?

Unfortunately, you entered the thread after the other mods had angered people for a good few hours before - I realise you were just trying to help.

Hoping the rules will be more clear since we have had too many changes to them over the weekend.

I know you were trying to help, the comment you made was inappropriate and unprofessional though which is why your name came up here as well.

I'm pretty sure you didn't take into account the indirect sales that are influenced by Forum members, those who do not link their accounts with the Forum ones and members who order on behalf of their companies but that is a whole other subject to discuss. ;)
