Conan Exiles

Not long now, I can't see it being as good as ARK, but maybe this is a game that ARK fans will move to because they are fed up with ARK's questionable development process. If its got great performance in EA, I can see a lot of people moving across and giving up on ARK.

You've essentially described my standing on the subject. I'm beginning to tire of ARK due to it's woeful performance, and the fact that superfluous features like hair growth are being prioritised over proper optimisation.
The fact they had the gumption to release paid DLC for an unfinished game speaks volumes.
I'm hoping Conan will have more content and stability than ARK or Rust.

Fucom game engines take at least 6months to 1 year to settle down and get fixed.

They do fix them though :)

Anarchy online (terrible at the start)
Conan (terrible at the start)
Secret World (actually better but still woefull)

That being said, still fantastic games and brilliant MMPORGS, Conan suffered from a really bad Grind at one point and lost a lot of players.

Secret World suffered from endgame content and again lost players. (I really should load this up again as have a lifetime sub)

Looks like another survival games based on a sketchily optimised engine with bad interfaces... Seen many like it. Streamers will scream about it for a while but ultimately, it will be cack.

Also, will it ever come out of early access alpha/beta? Doubt it. They'll take money and bugger off.

These games get a raw deal. Rust, The Forest, Miscreated etc are all getting regular updates and going strong.

People get hundreds of hours out of them, I don't see the issue.

Well thank god they have got rid of those hands rising up to your face in the other video. I seriously would have stopped playing the game after 5 mins of that. I hope there isnt too much sandy desert, could get pretty dull quickly. Im sure they will have other biomes.

419hrs on Dayz, 80hrs on Ark, 86hrs on Miscreated and 907hrs on Rust, each game is getting regular updates and are coming along well. And to be honest, if the devs of the games suddenly stop working on them I would have definitely gotten my money's worth already.

Yeah I actually really liked Conan, but as you say it got to a point where it became a really bad grind, started well but then there was a real lack of content at a certain level.

Its a shame because they were starting to sort it out but it was too late and they'd lost too many people. I guess the other issue was WoW, especially at the time people would often try another MMORPG and then just drift back to WoW, it was just so damn polished.

Yeh a polished fully working survival game would go down a storm, lets hope, i got ark in a humble bundle and just feels so clunky as much as i try i cant get into it, this will be a day one purchase even if to suport funcom.

Cool, I've nothing against those that enjoy it. I just have a grudge against those type of devs. Not a fan in the slightest.
