Conan Exiles

Yeh a polished fully working survival game would go down a storm, lets hope, i got ark in a humble bundle and just feels so clunky as much as i try i cant get into it, this will be a day one purchase even if to suport funcom.

Given the average AAA game takes around 3 years to make, I expect a big publisher to release a survival game this year

Watched about 20-30 mins over the 3 streams on Youtube, just kept thinking Ark, even the streamers did make little jokes which seemed very Ark directed.

I'm currently playing Ark again but did buy it at release of EA and have about 500 hours I think, about half when it first came out and half last few months. However despite hours played I wouldn't buy an EA game again, the Ark dev's have taken 'liberties' by using EA as a go to excuse but also increased the scope of the game vastly which means it gets to stay in EA.

I don't see this being much different although I don't think it will be as popular as Ark was the first game to do Survival + Dinosaurs in a decent way and now they seem to be coming out in droves, all sporting the 'Early Access' slogan.

Played AOC for 3 years solid loved it upto the point of f2p. But this doesn't look any different to rust really, as I already have that I don't think I'll be getting this, unless it ends up much better than rust, I'll give it a look on release.

We've gone early bird on this with a 70 slot PVP server, ofc unable to do anything until the 31st :D

If anyone is interested your more than welcome to join clicky

Somewhat sceptical on any EA game although envisage it will be more optimised than Ark from day 1.

Played Funcom games since Anarchy online and always been a fan of their work, leaning more towards the £30 purchase price but purely a guesstimate.

Same.... The love i have/had for AoC will always be with me haha!

Which is why i'm keeping a close eye on this. I do like the thought of raids for decent loot drops. Plus i read that gear isn't everything, if you are a skilled warrior you can still wipe people

Can this game be played casually like 1 or 2 hours a week, or is it a cause of having to keep up with everyone.

There's an offline mode.... Also you can just join a guild/clan (like ours) and help build and defend the base!

Also you can capture NPC's in the world and put them on your wheel off will... Once you break their will you can place them of your walls to defend your keep.

Keeping my eye on thiss but guessing it will be a lot like ark and every other flash in the pan survival and get old fast, that and funcom running it, I don't have such high hopes. AoC had such potential

I'm literally buying it for the music from AoC... Miss that game so much. Could have been absolutely beyond good,,, In fact it was, I loved it. But the end content wasn't there from what I heard.

Neither was the middle content at launch, the tutorial area was brilliant, & the 1st 10 levels after that were decent, but then it went downhill instantly, 1-2 quests every 10 levels (about half a bar of exp), no mobs in the dungeons, etc.

The only real way to level was aoe grinding after level 30ish, & there was 80 levels, & for that you needed a friendly necro, fortunately I was one, & ended up levelling most of my friends, but the lack of content drove ppl away en masse after the 1st month.

This is the reason many ppl are dubious about any funcom release even now, I know this isnt an mmo like aoc was, but still I wont even think about buying it before its been out a while so we can see what its like when you get past that initial stage.
