Confess your gaming sins...

Buying stuff and not playing, bought prey on cdkeys when it came out, have only played 10 mins of it, many titles and steam games are like this :'(

I've played my fair share of them i.e. Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, etc, basically most of the so called "classics". I've tried playing modern ones too, and they haven't changed a bit.

I get it, you like the JRPG's and Anime. No need to act like someone **** in your Corn Flakes. Cheers up. Have a drink, get laid or both. :D

It could be said.... no need to act like someone **** in your cornflakes if you dont like them.....

These days I prefer watching walkthroughs on YouTube rather than playing the game myself, much easier to switch on for 30mins in bed than to find that time uninterrupted when I get back from work :(

Only one gaming sin, which I did last night.
Gambling on GW2.
I had 300 gold, I bought a 60 golds worth of ectos and gambled them at a vendor. At one point I had 700 gold and about 500 ectos, but it wasn't enough. Now I have 2 gold and 10 ectos and less 5 years of collected crafting material which I sold to get more money to feed my momentary lapse of reason... I had a fun hour though! Now I have that off my chest I feel a bit better.

Not really a gaming sin, but I think most games are too expensive and so don't buy a lot of them until their in the sales.
For example, I won't pay £9 for Fallout 4 as I'm sure the GOTY Edition will be available for less by the time I've played (and maybe finished) Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim.
Oh yeah, like a bunch of people I buy games and then don't get around to playing them as I play a lot of games that don't have an end (MOBAs, Diablo 3, online PvP stuff, etc.)

And then, despite being so tight-fisted with games, I'll spend hundreds of £ on graphics cards and hardware. And then play Diablo 3 and MOBAs...

Half Life 2 is overrated.
I bought HuniePop and HunieCam on Steam and find them both strangely engaging.
I like getting humble bundles because it makes my game count jump. Probably down to not being allowed video games as a child.

Liking X-Rebirth, well once it was patched to the current version.

Doing 2/3 of a flight in FS9 or FSX but blagging the full time/distance submitting PIREP to a virtual airline.

Enjoying train sims.

Enjoying bus sims.

Disliking multiplayer.

Never having bought let alone played Witcher 3.

Hating the "new" Doom.

Never having bought let alone played Witcher 3.

Hating the "new" Doom.

The first isn't really a sin - the second maybe - but I've not actually completed it myself despite overall liking the game - something about the corridor to hub fighting pattern eventually bored me.

1. Designing games that require you to joylessly grind in order to get good stuff (escape from tarkov springs to mind)
2. Bad Anti Aliasing. Nothing more visually offensive in gaming than jaggies.
3. Anything with even a hint of anime and manga belongs in the bin along with the people who like that kind of stuff, I wouldn't trust you around my non existent children for one second.
4. People who play Gran Turisom and Forza and argue over which is more realistic when both are a steaming pile of unrealistic turd.
5. People who reminisce about old games from the 90s being amazing, they were amazing at the time... but if you handed me 99% of them now id lob them in the bin along with the anime fans.

Thats more of a general rant about anything vaguely gaming related tbh

1) I don't like multiplayer. Single Player gaming is more fun.
It’s like multiplayer but without the:
  • Cheating
  • Racism
  • Screaming children
  • Blaring “music”
  • Politics - I‘m playing a game, I don’t want to hear about Trump or <insert irrelevant cause here>
  • Hatred and abuse etc. etc. ad infinitum

No AI has ever falsely accused me of cheating (idea for Single Player game: after you clear out a mob, the Boss should accuse you of using Hax :D)
Lag. I started gaming on a 28.8k dial-up, I used to be called Sir Lagalot, but even now on my 240Meg fibre, still sometimes, I see them first, I aim, I shoot, and I shoot and . . . I’m dead and the person I shot is totally fine. Unforgiveable BS. Never happens in Single Player.

2) I ragequit against CS:GO bots last week (it was my bots’ fault – they were rubbish, letting the team down…)

3) I love gaming on various stimulants and relaxants, including but not limited to alcohol, it's tremendous fun.

4) Geting wasted with friends and playing a FPS with everyone using the mouse with their ‘wrong’ hand - hilarious - apart from for the other players on the server - ah well, sure it's only multiplayer :)

1. I absolutely detest mobile "gaming", like if it went away tomorrow i would still be annoyed it existed in the first place

2. I play modded farming sim, like heavily modded, yeah, go on, judge me

3. I've never set the difficulty on civ beyond prince as i really dislike how all it does is let the ai literally cheat.

4. Football games, like seriously, if you want to play football GO OUT AND PLAY ******* FOOTBALL!!!!

5. I have a soft spot for the jack and daxter/ratchet and clank series even to this day. In my defence theyre still really fun to play as an adult.

6. I've never played morrowind, half life or left for dead despite knowing i really ought to.

7. Owning bulldozer, even now

8. The many, many funerals i've held for poor jebediah kerman.
