it is as I'm on 8.1, but seems you need a minimum screen resolution. Although I'm only 1366x768 so cant be high

edit - only shows it on start screen, not desktop.
edit 2 - apparently resolution of 1280 x 800 minimum.
edit 3 n- just tried it withj lowest supported screen res on this laptop and the option still works.

Also an intresting tidbit is taht windows 8.1 will include drivers for 3d printers from a hole host of wading 3d printer companies, making setup easier.

Oh you're on 1080p you get 4rows as default don't you, which would explain why it's not there, but on 108p and higher they should modify it to show even more.

I expect that's the reason, haven't used my desktop in months, to remember what the number is.

I'm going to suggest that in the feedback, more rows makes the start screen so much better. It should scale with screen res.

To those trying 8.1, when did you download the software? I've tried to install via the Store (after first downloading and installing the small exe) but for days now all I get is "Windows 8.1 is not available right now please try again later". SOmetimes the store doesn't even load either. Is the demand for it that huge?

No, you'll probably have to do the regedit.

Me too, still have to enable software rendering to get it working correctly. I suppose I could install metrotube but would rather just use my browser.

Youtube app is far better UI than the website.

I have just installed it, I like the UI as its the same as it is on my phone.
