Conroe now available from OcUK!

HI there

After having meetings with Intel this morning and been the first UK company to actually give Intel and their distributors orders for Intel latest processor we are now able to offer them on sale at OcUK.

Product is expected to arrive approx middle of July 2006.

As OcUK is the first company to place orders we get priority allocation which means OcUK will not only be the first with product but will also have more product availability than anywhere else in the UK/Europe.

Remember only the latest Intel 965 boards are compatible.

Upto now the only compatible 975X is the DFI OcUK is selling, all older 975 boards are in-compatible, you have been warned!

I was hoping the E6600 would be a little bit less, so I may get the E6400 and get a better one in the future. Will there be any new one's released nearer xmas?

*edit - nevermind, i've just specced myself within my £1000 budget with an E6600, no motherboard yet cause there ain't a big enough selection. Looking to spend £100 on a motherboard.*

Over the next few weeks.

We shall also be stocking the entry level E4200 Conroe processor too which is an 800FSB part but should offer great value for money and be a great overclocker.

that is a huge price jump for the E6700, considering the E6600 is almost half price.

Looking at getting a 6600, but would rather risk it getting one at launch, and seeing if the price will drop before launch. Hoping for a £180 - £200 e6600.

well it looks like these prices fall nicely within my predictions from as far back as May

Conroe E6700 (2.67GHz) - $529 / £370 - £453

Conroe E6600 (2.4GHz) - $315 / £220 - £270

I'd say the E6600 @ $315 will probably be £220-270 over here - but that's just my guess.

But if you were on a budget the E6300 @ $210 will be around £150-180 I'd have guessed!
