'Contact lost' with Malaysia Airlines plane

Highly regulated? Bwhahahahahha

Well you can't just stick any old part back onto a plane for starters, anything taken back off a plane is logged through it's lifecycle via it's serial number.

I suppose you have the fake component issue, but if a team of investigators found these then it will be clear the parts are copys.

So to leave fake parts on the ocean would mean you need to get hold of them from another 777 in whch the serial numbers can't be traced, or don't exist on a database, or you could re serial number.

The plane went missing when no one was looking for it. We now have some of the most advanced technology in the world from almost 30 countries picking through the area. Slight difference.

Incorrect. The plane was being monitored during it's scheduled flight and yet it still disappeared. A boat could easily slip by without question.

As the media puts emphasis on the amount of effort put into this search by utilising assets from 26 different countries - I am very interested in who would cover the cost for this massive operation?

I can only assume that each country would just bury the costs themselves or have budget for stuff like this?

Anyone can shed some light?

The idea that this sort of thing costs a huge amount of money always strikes me as a bit odd.

I mean, the pilots, aircraft, boat, crews and equipment involved are used regularly anyway, they just get diverted from other regular tasks. The government budgets for their use/salaries and consumables over the year already. Sure, you might burn up a bit more fuel, perhaps some overtime (where applicable) but in reality (I think) the search part of this operation costs not much at all really in the grand scheme of things.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will correct me, but that's my thoughts on the subject :)

String theory posits over twenty dimensions. I'll let you work with that concept.

Anyway, this thread should cease to be about me now and should continue to be on its intended topic.

What like you said "aliens did it" :D:D next you're be saying there is a god :D:D

Records deleted from the pilots flight simulator?

Reported on The Independent, Washington Post, and Financial Times among others.

what do they mean by records deleted on the flight sim?

cause tbh that suspiciously sounds like "omg he deleted his flight sim X saves!"
