'Contact lost' with Malaysia Airlines plane

Seeing as I don't own a television or read the papers that's pretty difficult. What you call common sense in this instance is just sticking to the safe and familiar rather than thinking laterally.

Please do not take this as a personal attack. But no TV and no papers? However I have this mental image of you, in a basement, cut off from the real world, convinced that every media outlet is the work of the Government trying to brainwash you and control your mind.

Dare I ask your thoughts on marijuana, the feudal system, moon landings and aids?

Some of your theories are well thought out. Outlandish. But require some thought.

no TV and no papers?

That's not so unusual these days is it? Through the winter the only thing I watch on tv is top gear. I do watch a lot more in the summer when there is bicycle racing on but I think I would be perfectly happy living without a TV if I had to.

Slight difference in not watching much TV and not having a TV. Then not reading the news..?

Have we all come round yet to the fact it crashed yet? or have we found another angle on how this plane dissapeared

Unless more information has come to light in the last few hours while it having crashed into the sea is by far the most likely outcome its far from a certain one and enough uncertainty exists that we are a long way from ruling out many other possibilities.

Incorrect. The plane was being monitored during it's scheduled flight and yet it still disappeared. A boat could easily slip by without question.

Monitored not actively searched for.

There is a whole fleet of military ships specifically built to find things scouring the Indian ocean. An unidentified boat dumping plane scraps is NOT going to go unnoticed.

Not being funny but after 10 days or whatever, couldn't whoever thats taken the plane have just dumped some fake plane debris in the ocean to cover it up? How will they definitively prove that any debris is from the actual plane?

every piece has a part number, every part number, work done everything is logged is recorded and kept until iirc 20 years after the plane has left service and been scrapped.

from a piece of wreckage they can tell you what plane it was from when it was built which supplier provided the part which batch the part came from in that supply.

we have insane levels of traceability in aircraft parets because if one of them breaks we need to know why and we need to find every other plane that may have a similar part.

heck we even keep aluminum blocks cut from the same billet that the parts were machined from so that we can test them later to determine if it was a fatigue failure or metallurgical mistake.

Faking the wreckage would be harder than making the plane disappear, you would have had to make the fakes at the same time the plane was made.

oh we can even tell you the name of the man who fitted that part.

Fake wreckage???? WTF? Some people have a very warped view of how the world works.... Not only has the plane been stolen in some conspiracy but 'they' had a ship full of spare Boeing parts on standby to scatter them somewhere in the Induan ocean....

Next they'll find the dead passengers and we'll have claims that they're not the real passengers but fakes supplied from a NK prison camp
