Cooking with Daveyboy - Live Crab

I don't see lions killing gazelle in humane manners, should they be lambasted as well? :p

What do you mean, when was the last time you saw a lion kill a gazelle?

Lion's are far more civilised now, they stroke the gazelle on the belly until they fall asleep, then they painlessly magic them to death

Girls, the lot of you

Straight into boiling water, none of this "freezer for half an hour" rubbish

In the summer, we're lucky enough to be in a place where we have a constant supply of crab and lobster - but on the subject of crab, the good meat is in the claws (white meat) - when we have crabs in our pots, we just rip both claws off.

Apparently it doesn't hurt them, AND their claws eventually regrow.

So we rip them off (takes 1 second), and throw the 'armless crabs back in the sea

How are they supposed to hunt and eat without claws?

I dont like those videos, putting anything live into boiling water is just wrong in my eyes. Theres a reason poultry is killed quickly, ethics and all.

Plus when you play around with it, it's just uncool. :(

Why would a lion want to kill something in a humane way? Surely that would require application of thought and opposable thumbs.

I guess the lesson here is if you are going to take responsibility for all the stages of your foods preperation, do it properly. Kids pull the wings off flys and the legs off spiders because they don't know any better. If you are going to dispatch something, do it and don't mess around.

Why do people even bother to post an interesting thread, when noobs just come along and fill the thread with fail posts.

You can read the title,so why come in moaning about it.
