Cooking with Daveyboy - Live Crab

Op, could you please upload the video again?

xD

They sell these MASSIVE crabs near where I live for £3 and I wish to try and study the best way to eat one. :o

TBH if you can't bring yourself to kill it, cook it and eat it you shouldn't eat meat

I don't know about that, I mean when I buy meat I'm just paying for meat, not to have an animal killed. If there wasn't someone willing to do that then I probably wouldn't be eating it anyway.

I know people will disagree, but someone else has decided to make a living off of killing animals so that other people can eat them. For this reason I don't really feel like there's any blood on my hands.

The thing is Harry it's easy to say you're just paying for the meat but you're not, you're paying for the materials to raise, kill, skin and then package the meat before it gets to you true your only contributing a fraction of the money it takes to do all these things but at the end of the day to get your meat your still paying to have the animal killed so the blood is still on your hands.

I'm paying for meat that someone else has already killed. Granted it's a supply and demand market, but the way I see it is that the farmer has taken the responsibility of killing those animals so that he can make a living. No denying I fuel that market by buying the produce, but I'm not slaughtering any animals either.

If all the livestock farmers were to call it quits tomorrow then I'd just eat something else.

But thats like saying I pay an assasin to off you then when he gets caught and points the finger at me, then I can say but I didn't kill him so therefore there is no blood on my hands ergo I can get away scott free? No sadly the world doesn't work like that and I'll get done just as much as the assasin.

Fair play to you then

It's more akin to an assassin killing me, then sticking me in the freezer at the supermarket and you buying my cadaver. The assassin killed me on the premise that someone would buy my corpse, not because you asked him to kill me. Now back to my salad.

Without demand there can be no supply therefore we are specifically asking the farmer to kill things for us to eat therefore my point still stands.
