Cooteastrophe

At very best he'll get off with not reffing Liverpool games, midling he'll get demoted and worst he'll get sacked.

Even in the video, looking like he maybe had a few, he realised the damage it would cause if that video ever got out.

It's the "German ****" bit they'll use as that could demonstrate a bias against Germans, so when Havertz etc gets a decision against them his implied bias might be brought up.

I think he's toast.

You can't just stop him reffing Liverpool games, that would never work. All league games can directly impact each team.

They either give him a serious slap on the wrist and a suspension for a while, or he's finished. I suspect the latter.

Only has himself to blame.

His career is done at the top in Europe. I can't imagine he will be in any televised games. He is going to get booed from the crowd, no players, coaches or teams or anyone will trust him to be neutral. Once he showed he has biased against someone, then the trust is gone.

He could go to Saudi I suppose!

Whatever his personal opinion is of Klopp is largely irrelevant. Of course every manager will do their best to protect their clubs interest and gain any marginal advantage. Doubt he will have a career over here once the dust settles, prob spring up in the middle east somewhere as 'Refereeing Consultant'

Only himself to blame for allowing someone to video him.

In theory it would work the same way as when refs declare the club they support so in this case he's a Notts County fan so he is not allowed to ref Nottingham Forest games. They could just add Liverpool to that list but I very much doubt they'll do that.

It's more than that, he mentioned Liverpool, Klopp and Germans. So it can't be seen he will be fair to any germans, from international games against Germany, domestic games with German managers or players. So that includes Brighton (their manager is German), it includes Arsenal (Havertz), Spurs (Werner) etc etc.

His career is done in Europe.

Yes, that's pretty much what I said previously when I also mentioned Havertz.

It's the reference to Klopp's heritage that they will probably use to draw and quarter him.

Only himself to blame for being abusive to one of the biggest clubs in the league in he referees in, basically one of the PGMOLs largest clients, xenophobically abusive to one of it’s employees and staring in a video that was framed with literal hate speech.

He should and would have been sacked on the spot in most circumstances. Frankly beyond the temptation to milk it for the news cycle there’s no reason why he hasn’t been.

So have Che Neville and Carra said anything about it yet? Usually they can't help themselves and have to weigh in, or have their paymasters told them to keep quiet..?

Well thats got to be the end of him. This is the problem nowadays. Make a mistake and you can bet your ass anything else you have done that you shouldn't have will come to the surface as well.
