Corsair Carbide Air 540 Builds

I've just bought a 540 from off here (used) so will hopefully be building into it this weekend. Is there anything I should know or prepare for? I'm currently running 2x240mm rads a gpu and cpu in a custom loop. Apart from some new tubing for the longer runs to the back of the case will I need anything else?

I'm also thinking of buying some Bitfenix cable extensions just to make sure I have the length and to look a bit better.

Check my build log, im using different rads to you but during my mission i have run into a few issues. It might give you a few ideas.

The bundle costs more!!! It's about getting a good chip, they are speed binned. You may get lucky who knows. If I were to go has well again that's what I'd go for. It's very dis-heartening to spend £700+ on water cooling alone and it only reach 4.5ghz, plenty fast enough, but not enough for me.

As for rads ocuk don't stock the ones I'd get and I can't link em on here, I had the xspc AX 240,360 in white and are superb and ocuk do stock those, pricey but worth it.
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-259-XS&groupid=962&catid=1523&subcat=1526 360 in white, if you opt for the silver ones they are less than half price and just spray it yourself, very easy to do with these as you can take the core out. :;

:O

I dunno I just want to overclock it myself I guess and paying extra to have it overclocked seems so I dunno lazzyyyy lol.

I want to get my order all from OCUk so im looking at all the rads we have here in OCUK.

Thanks for your help bud and everyone elses.

I would like to ask one last thing and that is could you guys suggest a 240 and 360 from what we have at OCUK to add to my order as im not sure the max thickness I can go for (newb).

My new current basket what do you guys think am I missing anything or doing anything wrong? any suggestions? I am more worried about if the radiators will fit thats all.

Adam does my build match up? Im trying to get secondary and tertiary opinions haha before i order incase I get something wrong loL!

Your 240 is too thick, i recommend a max thickness of 45mm

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-084-XS&groupid=962&catid=1523&subcat=1525 would be ideal

Again back to the 4770 bundle, there is a profile for 4.6ghz when you buy, but some are hitting near 5.2ghz with those chips

@Adam, the AX rads are superb and the best looking rads on the market imo.

Don't waste any time replacing those default case fans :| they are some of the noisiest I've heard - got one apache on the exhaust but need to sort 2 more for the front.

I got those sorted, im just not sure if I want the orange led ones. You got any suggestions?

Hey Nico, lol that bundle adds £200 ontop of my current build cost lol just because of the overclock. :(

I dunno I have always found fun in overclocking my chips so it might be a risk worth taking just ordering and hoping.

EDIITTTT - I decided on the flashy ram!

If your going to go flashy its the case to do it, full orange loadout against the black would look great.

Personally I've used/going to use Akasa Apache fans with mine just coz they are sooo quiet but also a bit boring and functional looking.

How come you decided upon a bay res rather than a tube?

Because everybody else had a tube res with this case, just wanted to do it different, not usually a fan of bay reservoirs because of long messy tubes but this case allows you to do it in other ways. Also using same res in my next build which will be under way tomorrow :D

Fair enough! What will that involved?
