Corsair Carbide Air 540 Builds

Andy, are all your fans alpengohn's and what sizes did you use? Just found the red clover models on ocuk. They look ideal for what im planning. Ive used the blue ones as replacements for the stock k2 cooler fans. Still undecided though in wether to pick the black or silver/gunmetal version of the 540.

Using Akasa apaches on mine - which was a bit of a waste of time in a way as the fans + 780 + PSU are pretty much silent but the pump whine on the 1250 is very much not silent heh :|

Mostly akasa pirahas in my rig along with a few silverstone air penetrators for intake. My case in sig has woeful airflow. The 5 pirannhas (2 on cooler) are all ran via a PWM splitter from one of the cpu fan headers. 9 fans in total.

5 x 120mm's and 1 x 140mm, mate.

Andy what led light is that on your case? and is it only green or can you choose others?

Also can anyone recommend a decent fan controller?

Cheers, ill likely go for 7x 120's (2 for cooler) and 1x 140mm. All will be ran via PWM using splitters as the board has dual cpu fan headers.

Anyone here own the silver version of the 540?. Hard to tell the true colour from the shop pics.

Andybtsn, looks like a great rig you have there :D even the xbox one, any way you can upload a picture of your setup, it looks really amazing :D

I haven't used corsair fans myself. But i have a few alpenfohns here. Was very impressed with their cooling ability. Theyre also of incredibly good quality, the frames covered with a layer of rubber. Noise at full speed isn't very loud either.
