Corsair Carbide Air 540 Builds

Regarding 2x 280mm, they dont fit, well not the 60mm Alphacool ones and certainly not in the stock position.
Now into my 3rd or 4th week trying to make all these parts actually fit into the 540. Grinder, drill and putting components in and out many many more times than I would have liked and I think Ive cracked it.
Just waiting for 2 more connectors......

If not, then Ive either wasted about £600, or I need a bigger case

Loving some of the custom builds on these pages! How's everyone finding their Corsair Air 540 cases?

I'm planning an X99 build and was going to go for a Corsair Air 240 but the limited selection of X99 mATX motherboard and memory/expansion limitations is making me think the ATX Corsair A540 would be a better option?

I like the styling and the form factor of the Corsair A540 fits perfectly in the corner of my room. Are there any other cases you considered before going for the A540?

I no longer have my mechanical drives in the bays at the bottom, is there any aftermarket products to cover up the bottom of the case out yet or are people having custom jobbies made up? Seems to be a good place or dust to creep in and would be nice to cover over the mounts etc

I used the dust filter that came with my 750D for the underneath of my 540...made no difference at all

But I think you can get a set of dust filters for the 540 for about £60 I think....aahh yes I found these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-045-DF&groupid=701&catid=1428&subcat=2363

Thats looks very nice string - if you use some angled connectors for the compressions you'll be able to cut down the tubing some more.

@@foster grant - lol, I did it the other way. Used my 540 air front dust filter on the bottom of my 750D :)
