Corsair Carbide Air 540 Builds

if your only cooling the cpu and 2 Gpus, buy the 1 sp120, you should be able to fit it in, I would like to see a picture to why not :p and your temps should be fine.

If you see where my tubing is on the right hand side, the fitting and tubing is right where the fan would be, almost touching the rad.

My main reason to put it in this case is so i can get a fairly neat build with a lot of hd tubing action:

As you can see, the motherboard is SB block is perfectly lined up so i can do an L of hard tubing into a 90 degree EK fitting connected to the block so i can go GPU1(first slot) -> SB block -> GPU2 (third slot)

The case shape and large window makes the insides look all flashy action rather than a tangled bush of wires!

@Avenged7Fold could you not put a fan on the outside of the rad/case where the removable front filter is, I have seen a few people put fans on that side of the front to allow more internal space ?

yeah it would look good and be fine going like GPU1(first slot) -> SB block -> GPU2 (third slot)

and your rad space is enough to do it, if you cant fine a way to get the 5th fan or slim fan in the space on the inside or out, it will still work fine, just temps will be 2-5°c higher than with the extra fan.

will keep an eye on the 540 forum to see what you come up with :)

**also going to be turning this into a air 540/240 forum soon, give me 2/3 days :D **

Hi guys, there are some spectacular builds on here! I've just finished my first ever build- in at the deep end  I'm chuffed with how it's gone, but now I've looked at some of the ideas in this thread I want to build another!

Sorry the image is a bit on the big side.

Anyone done the bungee mod for their HDD? I wasn't really liking the drive in the proper caddy at the bottom of the case, and I wasn't too sure on bolting it to the back of the case on the dark side like some have done, I was worried about vibrations.

It's quite secure in there. And I wont be using any CD drive so I'm not bothered about the bay being used up.

Got my AF140 today, hopefully my OcUK order will arrive tomorrow with my PSU and the rest of my fans! Still waiting on my H105, so I may have to pop my old cooler back on for now as I've been waiting a week already!

I know it's cheeky posting twice with the same thing, but I felt this was worth it.

As I said above, I recently took the plunge into water cooling (pun not intended) using the Alphacool/Cooler Master Eisberg as a starting point for a custom loop that I can expand into and beef up when cash allows (getting married in May).
I wanted it to be cheap but still look the business and perform better than my old air cooler (bequiet Dark Rock Pro), and I kinda got what I aimed for.

I also produced a video over the course of attempting water cooling for the first time.
I'm not the best on the mic, but I'm quite proud of the editing I've accomplished, as well as telling the tale of both
-Noob experience of water cooling
and
-The Eisberg is actually not the POS that people think it is.

I know its not exactly 540 related, but as it features my case in enough closeups, I figured it qualified for this thread. There is also some demonstration of open case noise compared with idle fan noise and 100% fan noise with this case.

Hope you like it
