Corsair Carbide Air 540 Builds

This is excellent m8,thanks for the pics

Does anyone have any recommendation on LED strips? Preferably cheap, dimmable and if possible colour change? Oh and it would help if they didn't burn down my house as well

YOUR BASKET
1 x NZXT CB-LED20-GR 24x Green LED Sleeve - 2m £13.99
Total : £16.27 (includes shipping : £1.90).

The nxzt led cables sound just about right for you,can be turn on or off aswell as having 3 adjustable brightness levels.

The 2m variant can be cleanly routed in the main compartment with only a few cm's of overlap.Nice bit of kit

quick paint job to match the color scheme inside

Nice one.. :) I have seen some of these kits on Amazon/Ebay that have a big strip and you just cut and solder. They have a little remote too that changes the colour and brightness etc.

Sweet build!

I just bought this case and wondered how tyou managed to fit fans at the bottom?

Thanks.

I had to Dremel off the HDD brackets, drill two holes for airflow in the centre and drill holes for the fixing screws. You see where I've removed one in the following photo...

I've removed the image as spoiler tags aren't allowed in Project Logs.

Please see Rule 11.

I got all loop installed, made a rookie mistake and didnt get enough tubing, thought i woulkd get away with only 1m,turns out a i needed a little more,so had to wait for that to arive, all is well now tho :D

Had to abandon my plans for a front mounted res,but im still happy with the result

Got a D5/xes in the back,an ex240mm rad and a supremecy EVO block with monsoon fittings, using 16/11 primochill tubing(which is very bendy it turns out !). With flow Pump/res>rad>block>pump/res

Sadly my cable management is average at best, cannot get a nice clean look :(

How many different fans in there :)

Lol i know right. When i got the 540 i just made use of the fans i had at hand

On the rad i have 1 x Noctua F12 and 1X Cougar Vortex HP (i use these together as they have same rpm range, and almost identical performance and noise levels, and i had them already saving me some cash on another f12)

Intake i have 2x Enermax Cluster advance and 1x akasa apache
Back extraction fan is a Cougar Vortex HF.

I intend to sort out the fans situation tin the next few weeks and get a less mismatched look. Most likely another Noctua F12 for the rad, moving the current Cougar fan there to front intake and buy 2 more Cougar fans to replace the Enermax fans

Been working on a lil' build. Just waiting on a couple of small bits and then we're done.

Because I really liked this pic, here's a sneak peek until hopefully tomorrow, when I can show what happened to the actual case :)
