Corsair H50 Water Cooling Kit

i think i'm gonna do some test to see if it makes any difference, i cant think that it would.

I'll post back tonight with some results. Well after a good go on cod:MW2..... woop!

Looking forward to the results! Also, if you're looking for an additional test, I've seen some people reporting that having the corsair logo/pump unit upside down (in a tower case) reduces temps somewhat, don't know how that would happen, may have been the application of thermal paste that differed.

After 2 months my h50 just killed my pc.
I have contacted Corsair 6 times they want me to send item to U.S for RMA.
But Corsair informed me that they will not pay for damage caused by faulty item.

What exactly happened? Has it leaked? That looks like a PCI card bit id have thought it would have leaked over the GFX card if anything.

When did you forst contact them, if oit was having problems then id have removed it and used the stock cooler or something.

I have contacted them about 2 weeks ago. I have contents ins but claim must be made within 2 weeks after the incident.
So if I would send it I could not claim insurance, so over £1100 can be lost.
what happened:
After 2 hrs of gaming my pc started freezing + blue screen, problem with start . then i have realised what happened so I did not tried to start it after -

I'm so annoyed, can you just tell us what actually happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did it leak? If not, what's to say it's nowt to do with the H50. DID IT LEAK!!!! did it leak?

Did it leak?

It's funny. I had exactly the same thing happen to an old Audigy 2 ZS of mine.

Thankfully it was still under warranty so I got it replaced.

Was it faulty H50? or different cooling system
And as far as i know liquid damage is not covered by warranty???
(was your liquid cooler replaced or other components??)

crucially, could you tell us your rad config? I have a sneaky suspicion the pipes may have been under strain if this happened? whereabouts did it leak from?

Serously, could you please give us some more details about what happened, you might be the first of many and if we can highlight the issue now we might be saved.

Nah, it was a custom CPU -> GPU -> NB loop that I had.

Card looked identical to yours now, though. Thankfully nothing else was effected.

Warranty doesn't cover water damage, but I thought I'd try my luck and low and behold they sent me a new card.

Same with a mobo i'm sure. they can't really prove it was water dammage and even if they can they probably can't be bothered.

1. pipes have not been under strain
2. as you can see on the photo leak was about 1cm on top of cpu (so middle betwen pipes connection and cpu)

I can't find anyone les on any other forums who have suffered a leak so I'm not too concerned. However, if it did happen I would need Corsair to pay for dammages.Iwonder if your CPU is ok?

heres my result

P182

e8500 @4Ghz, idle 30-35oC full whack with otheos 55-60oC, i could probably drop the voltage a bit and lower temp more if needed.

pull/push out of rear exhaust with some old hiper fans with a fan y splitter, fan that came with h50 used in middle bay.

top fan disconnected and filter put over it, fan that came with h50 put in middle position, and cardboard duct made to channel most of air towards my 280gtx

probably not optimized but all working happily.
