Corsair Obsidian 750D Builds

Not done any empirical testing, however there has been a noticeable drop in temperature of my CPU (about 3-5 degrees) which I can only attribute to the cooler air within the system being drawn out over my rad.

I'll not do much real testing until the end of the month when I get a new graphics card sorted, but so far, I think its a worthy upgrade.

I'm currently running all of the stock fans in my 750D, with a Corsair h100i GTX mounted in the top as an exhaust (also stock fans). Temps are fine but I haven't really gamed on it yet, my new GPU only arrived yesterday.

Just wondering what people would recommend replacing fan wise for increased cooling?
I'm tempted to add in an extra intake on the bottom by removing the left HDD caddy, i like the looks of the corsair AF/SP fans with the blue trim but wouldn't know which to order.
Ill be posting pics of my rig in the next few days when my cable extensions arrive

im not sure if the h100i GTX allows push/pull but that would be a good upgrade. I have 2 980s and even on full whack they dont affect my cpu temperatures dramatically even at 4.5ghz i get 50-60c while gaming in 4k.

With regards to fans the ones they come with are pretty good but the corsair sp120 performance editions are really good. I had them on my old h100i and they dropped several degrees from the stock ones. They are loud though.

Heres my corsair 750D build, old photo as still has the h100i in (i have h110i gt now). Soon to put 2x 980 ti's in there but they look exactly the same XD. Photos also not the best.

If you are putting them on the bottom as an intake and if you're also planning to change the front fans, then I would go with the AF120 Performance edition to increase airflow.

If you are considering to change the radiator fans on your H100i GTX, SP120s would be a good choice like what tyler suggested. It'll surely improve your cooler's performance coming from the stock fans.

So if i went from stock fans on the H100i GTX to a push/pull config, would i need to buy 4 new SP fans or would the current two be fine to use as the pull fans? At least the nicer looking new fans would be on show then. Anything to save on cost would be nice, got a wife death staring me for the amount i've spent on my pc these last few months as it is haha.

How do you guys hook your fans up, do you use fan controllers?
At the minute the front two are both connected to the same motherboard header, the rear case exhaust fan is on its own motherboard header and the two h100i GTX fans are on the same cpu fan header.
Is it safe to run more multi taps? i dont mind fan controllers but quite enjoy the fan speed being auto and not having to install my own temp probes

I run the whole lot as silent as possible, with my i5 4690k @ 4.4ghz and the temps are around 32c when in desktop browsing/music etc so im happy with that, wouldnt want to add a lot more noise for the sake of a few degrees less

Pretty clean build man :) Cables are all well tucked in and nicely done.

Push/pull configuration will not make much of a difference in terms of performance, the gain is very minimal. But if you are aiming for the looks, then it is best to get all 4 identical fans like the SPs with the same specs to maintain optimal performance.

That depends on how many fans you are planning to use in the system. Those fan headers on your MB are fine up to certain amount of fans ( I wouldn't go over 2 fans per header), and you can use the boards SW to control their rpms and such based on temp. But if you are thinking to add more in the future, then a fan controller would be the way to go.

Added an AF120 Performance to the bottom intake today, little bit louder than i was expecting so wish i had gone with the quiet now.
Although that might be because theres no fan filter, anyone recommend a good filter for the bottom intake?
A magnetic one would be nice to take time when cleaning the case

I just launched one of these on it, cheap and cheerful

Yeah that's exactly what I'm thinking. Might have to put a bit of a joggle in the tube that comes down to get it into a 90 degree bend into the front rad. Hopefully It will look tidy.

Just planning everything now, and will hopefully order one end of month (hoping I can get my hands on the airflow front panel too)
