Corsair Obsidian 750D Builds

Thanks. I submitted a ticket a few days ago, was asked to attach a receipt which I did but it seems to have gone a bit quiet, maybe due to the 4th of July holiday? Ticket ID 6643532

I just checked it and looks like they sent you a reply yesterday saying that you can disregard the email that stated that you need to return the faulty unit. You do not have to send anything back to us, you'll just have to wait for the replacement part to get there. They will let you know and provide you tracking info once the part is shipped.

The little clip at the side of the front dust panel on my 750D has just snapped for the second time (super-glued it the first) and I'm fed up enough with the way it's been miss-shapen from the start to want a replacement. The damn thing bows outwards and has never properly fitted in the case.

Now I see there's a high airflow kit but it's not available anywhere. Might OCUK get some of these at some point?

Sorry to hear that, kael. I can arrange another replacement panel for you if you'd like to, just let me know.

I am lost myself with the airflow kit inventory. I haven't received any updates regarding those panels for nearly two weeks. It's possible for OCUK to carry them, they'll just have to contact our sales rep and place an order.

I just got back from a trip and had a look at what I was sent from my front panel RMA and it's completely the wrong part, they've sent me I/O ports themselves rather than the actual panel that is peeling off. Really disappointing that they didn't bother to read the description of the issue, I even linked to this thread on the ticket.

Tephnos - Did Corsair send you the correct part?

If you could, that would be fantastic. What do I need to do?

Thanks.

Sorry about that. They probably thought it was a front I/O panel issue. Based on your description in your ticket, you need the front I/O panel cover right?

If you could, that would be fantastic. What do I need to do?

Thanks.

Just create a ticket at Corsair.force.com and post your ticket so I can personally sort it out for you.

Stuck between this and the Corsair 760t - I fell in love with the latter but the cleanliness of the 750D is tempting. This thread isn't helping me, either!

Black and white air cooled build... >_<

Edit: Does the 750D come with magnetic fan filters for the bottom fan slots? (The ones that go under the two HDD bays by default)

I'd like it if it had some sort of filter, even if it's not magnetic.

Thanks!

No it does not.

Hi, one more question:

Have any of you removed the drive cages from the 750D at all? Do I need a drill and/or metal cutters?

I'd like to not have them there at all, but it see they're rather permanent unless you want to take a drill/metal cutters to it.

Drive cages come off pretty easy. It's been a while since I took mine off but I think they're on a few screws on a plastic mount and you can move them around as you prefer. They can be put together side by side, put on top of one another or taken away altogether.

Unless you are talking about the drive cages up top. Those are fitted quite well in there. You will need to mod it if you wanna take those out.

EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES2Z3jn5pgg six minutes onwards he discuses the HDD cages. Most of the stuff is removable. However you need to mod to take the top out.
