Ah come on though, do you honestly prefer the front end of that over a 22b?

I reckon the 22b just might be the nicest looking scoob of the lot. IIANM its the same front end as the RB5?

Yes becuase most of the 22b's have the MY98 front which is older and not as nice, and other than that the only big difference is the wider rear arches which are reasonably subtle.

The P1 just looks... great. Obviously, a 22b with a P1 front would also look just as good, but there aint many around.

notice completely different bumper, and Fog covers are flush on 22b, not on RB5.

much much better looking? Honestly, the differences are so subtle I don't see how anyone can say any of them are 'much much better looking' than either of the others.

Yeah, I prefer the STi6 splitter.

22b front on standard car is easily done with lookalike parts, but if you do that to a P1, I'll hunt you down and kill you.

Will, looks a good spec, as Merlin says, its had the rebuild and map it needs, so as long as the price is good, and the rebuild is to a decent spec, that should be a cracker (although I'd still be tempted to keep an eye out for a Type R).

Yeah, that's exactly what it is.

other way round, the P1 is just a normal MY99 bumper with a splitter and different fogs

the 22b bumper is completely custom and doesnt feature on anything else, its lowered and stretched as standard without the use of an additional splitter.

whereas the STI / RB5 / P1 all have a normal bumper but with differing splitters and fogs (or fog covers)

Mmm, adjustable centre diff :D

mmmm no abs :p

I'd love a type R but decent and well fettled examples are so rare, i dont get my company car for a few weeks so need a car this week, this p1 is likely to be an impulse buy so im hoping i dont regret it, you guys usually point out all the pitfalls so thats why I asked :D

Although in theory I'd agree, I'm of the camp that say the 22b kit stays on the 22b.

all look the same to me :/

Only in the same way all sevens look the same :)

Will, go over it with a fine tooth comb for the usual stuff, and I can't see their being a problem, like Merlin says, its only done 10k really. Nicely run in for you. What would the cheeky upgrades be?

But, lets face it, what you really want is a red mica one :p

upgrades would be nothing power related for the moment although a td05/06 and fmic would be considered once i get bored (2-3 days :p)

full defi install (just the triple centre pod)
pretty large stereo install, not sure on the details but I fancy spending a grand or two on it

and a shopping list of mods on each door including mods I dont even have, followed by afterburner lights a scoop on the roof and some LED washer jets. :p
