Could you do this.

Is it just me or do a strange number of people on here not drink, in comparison to the real world.

It seems that way for me at least

I could quite easily. I gave up drinking for a year when I was 18 purely because a friend told me I wouldnt be able to do it. I didnt like to be told I couldnt do things then and was quite stubborn (well, I still am stubborn!)

I regularly avoid drink on nights out in Leeds. I've had a solitary can since 27th May and that's pretty regular for me. I hardly drink at all in the summer and, although I drink more often (and sometimes get 'drunk') during the uni year, I'm far removed from your average drunk 3/4 times a week wacky student.

You only get one liver, so look after it. I, like most people like a drink but I seriously worry sometimes about the way the majprity of young people drink these days. If your doctor says quit for a while, best listen to him. :)

The liver can regrow itself from just 10% of its material, you just need to give it time between drinks.

Yeah and improve my diet, and not drink as much for a while. :)

absolutely - especially if a doctor told me to.

Had a drink last night, but before then hadn't had a drink for at least 3 months - all completly out of choice.

ive been t total for 7 weeks and 2 days, im finding it very hard been to quite a few BBQ's and just drank coke, i did it as i was drinking far to much, about my weekly amount every night

Well this week i had

Mon - 3 bottles
Tuesday - 4 pints
Wed - 2 pints

Then i went to the doctors today

Thurs - 0 drinks.

I will probably have a couple on Sunday with the match.

Yeah could stop quite easy TBH..Infact this week ive stopped drinking as im off to magulf on monday and i wanted to loose a few pounds...Result so far = lost 4 pounds!!!..Now im not some 20stone guy either with a massive beer gut (12 stone and quite fit actually!! :p ) so it just goes to show how much alcohol slows your metabolism down..

I have at least a couple of drinks every day and have done for around 25 years. I probably could/should stop for a while but haven't yet.
