Its an internal email between 2 workers who are obviously friends, you wouldn't expect it to be formal.

Without context it pretty meaningless, Christine could have been sending a lot of emails to Jacqui that day, Jacqui might of said earlier ' If i get another email from you i will explode ' - Hence the take a deep breath LOL.

Unprofessional ? More like a mistake, and everyone makes those.

I read no malice or personal insults towards you or your case.

Focus on your case, a mistakenly sent email wont magic a 3 bedroomed house your way sadly.

I'd expect any internal communications to be professional at all times when discussing a case.

I disagree with others, contact your local MP at the very least, relay your struggles and voice your concerns over their conduct. You have genuine reason for concern that they arent taking you seriously despite evidence.

The councils will do everything in their power if an MP gets involved.

Only showing specialist proof of why the disabled girls can’t share a room

I think you're missing my point. A DSAR is quite the PITA for departments and if they do have other derogatory emails about you and your situation they have to submit them to you, it's the law. If there is such evidence of other unprofessionalism then that can work to your advantage.

In your line of work do you openly mock customers via email?

This is public sector dealing with a matter of genuine concern, a bit of professionalism is expected.

We dont know Teenwolfs circumstances but i dont envy him one bit.

Contact the MP and get it dealt with

Man of honour…., god forbid you ever have disabled children and try to voice for them

It’s a sad sad world without having people in the sector making fun of you too between them

Personally I'd just focus on the fact your family need a suitable home. I would expect internal conversations on a long winded case to be what we would concider unprofessional. My work place certainly makes fun of customers, it's mostly idiots calling about "problems" or just wanting to winge about something (energy sector). Although it's verbal between team members near you, no emails. Most calls I take in a day don't need to happen if they could only read English or have some common sense.

I wouldnt get hung up on a wrongly sent email.

You have submitted evidence, they have seemly rejected it. Find out why, resubmit if you need then escalate if they wont help. It's an uphill battle unfortunately.

They're not going to change their decision on entitlement because an MP gets involved. An MP isn't going to argue the OP's case, they probably know nothing about his entitlement to a council house. They'll write a letter forwarding the OP's correspondence and ask for an explanation of the situation.

See, jumping to conclusions.

I have a disabled partner, i have had to jump through the same hoops with PIP, DLA, Housing Benefits etc. as you are experiencing
I've had to provide the same info many, many times to the same departments, also attend medicals with her to get specialists to confirm her condition.

Don't judge someone you do not know.

Ok so the email I received and knock backs is ok then

All I can do as a parent and a dad to the lovely girls is do the best for them we have been trying and trying and uploading evidence from specialist time and time again to basicity be laughed at.

Gutted for them

Focussing on the email will not help you, it will not be used as leverage in your case.

Sadly, yes you take the knockbacks and keep pushing, we had to.

Citizens Advice were a great help in getting an initial PIP decision overturned by the Courts in our case.

I understand it is an emotional, and seemingly endless battle, with the sheer amount of repeat paperwork involved, but you simply have to keep going.

Keep a clear head and start documenting to whom and when each piece of information is sent.

If you have a valid case - you will win.

Councils really dont like MPs getting involved. I know a couple of people that work in management roles for councils and they both expressed this when I had to get an MP involved in an issue I had a few years ago. From the moment I got in touch with the MPs office, it was all hands on deck, a councillor even came to my door to apologise.

Anyway, there’s nothing lost in pursuing.. It could be a wider issue of negligence in a department for all we know.

Im unfamiliar with housing and disability issues so I sympathise with any of you who have to deal with the system.

However much they don't like MPs being involved if, let's say, the OP isn't entitled to a three bedroom council house the MP isn't going to change that.

this has been going on for about 12 months now we have 2 disabled children and been sending all evidence of the childrens DLA trying to get a council house.
back and too uploading evidence to support why we need a 3 bedroom house as our children cannot share a room and has been documented by specialists to support this.

they sent an email earlier declining us any housing and going over the same old excuses please show us evidence too which i appealed to the housing officer as per the email to challenge the decision.

now i just got an email which was obviously sent in error to me from the secratary that should have gone to the housing manager.
i find it very unprofessional it seems us and our disbaled children are a bit of a laughing stock to them

email i received.

Hi Jacqui,

See email…now take a deep breath LOL x

Christine

thoughts ?

edit: just got a call from christine saying sent in error jacqui is in hospital and making some sort of excuses for the email sent she know she has done wrong.
I have worked in the civil service and in this day and age this is a big thing.
It is a Data Protection breach right off the bat it is a fine it brings questions on department heads it is a breach.
Then the context can be inferred in almost any way you like.
It causes a cascade of questions about how that department is being managed and run.
You can request from them a complete dump of all your records and data held. Might still be a 10 or 20 quid fee and you can even argue that you need to see everything they have as they may have breached more of your personal data.
You can be a pure dick about this and law is on your side.
However the law to cover their backs is huge.
And you will not get millions in compo so most lawyers would be meh and cost more than it is worth.
But you can still cause a total shitnami internally.
You can file I believe a report to the police as well.
The fact Christine called is because if this blows up enough that "LOL" could cost her her job in this day and age.
You can meet with your MP and ask your MP for an explanation on how this housing department is being run and how it is treating people with a "LOL".
As well as if this is standard for families with disabled children, is this routine? Talk to the news the radio anyone that will listen.

Also meet the opposition in the area as well. Regarding MPs. How can this happen etc etc Go full Karen mode and make noise.

My assumption here is, that they pressed reply and pressed send. I also assume that it included the original reply. If it didn't include the original email, then there isn't much to go on, but I do question why someone would reply to a member of the public with no email chain unless it's auto-complete in the mail client.

Having sent text's to my boss when I meant to speak ABOUT them, and also once replied to an email that was about to go to a customer, and I made a joke and the companies name... (We caught that one!), it can happen. The first one, I was lucky to keep my job as my criticism the company owner agreed with. The second we caught the email, but that would have made my company look extremely bad, and I likely would have got the sack... which I think is completely acceptable.
