Council tax

Wiltshire Council 3%
Social care 3%
Police and crime 7%
Fire 3%
Salisbury City Council... 69%

Which is a 10.5% rise overall

So 1668.93 for a band C property. Not only do we have nerve agent in the city centre but they are charging us a fortune as well!

Ha...

Was just about to post mine, breaking down the 10.5% increase, which includes the delightful Salisbury City Council increase of 69.1%

And here I was, also in Wiltshire, going to complain about Melksham Town Council going for a 21.9% increase, but seems like a bargain in comparison :p

What happened to the 3 or is it now 5% 'cap' without a referendum? Mine is 7.1% overall, and the above 21.9% for the town council, does the cap only apply to the county council?

Gedling Borough Council +3.16%
Nottinghamshire County Council +4.99%
Nottinghamshire Police & Crime Commissioner +6.53%
Combined Fire Authority +2.95%
Parish Councils (average) +5.21%

Total - including Parishes £1,873.76 (band D) increase of 4.90%

Nottingham City Council - 3%
Nottinghamsire Police - 6.5%
Combined Fire Authority - 2.9%
Adult Social Care - 3%

Overall increase - 5.9%

For me, in band A, works out at £98 a month.

Amber Valley:

Derbyshire county council: +3.1%
Derbyshire county council adult social care: +2.0%
Derbyshire police & crime commissioner: +6.6% (?!)
Derbyshire fire authority: +3.0%
Amber valley borough council: +3.2%

:|

One of my neighbours just retired from the police. I wonder if that's his pension I'm paying for :p

Barnsley MBC +2.99%
Adult Social Care +1.5%
SY Police & CC +7.6%
SY Fire & Rescue +3.0%
Parish Spending 0.0% (Spending is zero)

Total increase over 20117/18 - 4.43%

On the back of massive cutbacks, the 3rd world state of our town's roads and the revelation that councillors have submitted a £900,000 expenses bill, when challenged about the rise by local groups their response was "well it could have been 6%..."

Same house or have you just moved?

Same house I live in Pembrokeshire South Wales to be honest the air breathers around here think it's disgusting but have no idea of context or comparison to other regions. Pembrokeshire is still one of the cheapest areas to live even with this £11.25 a month increase that I'm having to pay.

Went up 5% last time too. Energy up 10%. Food up. Fuel up. Houses up. Everything shrinkflated. Internet up. etc.. you get my point. Literally nothing up 3% or less.
