Counter-Strike Global Offensive (CSGO)

I didn't play much source but the AWP is very different.
Skins are what keeps causal players interested (along with operations) but I would avoid both if i were you.

You could watch some WarOwl or something but i think the best thing to do is jump into some DM and have a play with each weapon.

Current meta is USP-S, M4A4 and CZ-75 (CT/T) for the choosable slots but many people use the m4a1-s so it's best to practice with both.

Cheers YungAxe, can I add you to my Steam list and perhaps catch a few rounds with you at some point?

Ive been a keen csgo player for the last 2 years and never really thought about checking ocuk for other players.

Im officially supreme in MM but thats because i dont play MM.

I mostly play FaceIt (level 7) but can comptently frag and hold my own with level 9s/10s. Im not usually a solo carry mad fragger but more of a very reliable/consistent mid/end round clutch player.

Looking for people to play faceit or esea with!

There definetly are some Supreme level players on OCUK. Not sure they are active right now because of how you mention MM . Its a mess imo.

Im sure this is in the OP but there a list of CSGO players by rank. I set it to my ocuk homepage, add yourself to the list.
I only add fairly nearby ranks and dont really bother anyone unless you are in the game and I got spaces in a lobby

No idea, I enjoy DM the most as its fast paced and very rarely get people starting kick votes - which tend to happen 90% of the time on casual's if your entire team die (except you) from stupidity and you don't clutch the round in next 5 seconds.....

Guessing competitive would be best for leveling up, yet to try it myself though as I like to play just for "fun" heh

It does happen occasionally :) The most memorable cheat was the brotherhood of Bizon who were locking every shot to the head, bizon is a great gun if every shot hits perfectly. Banned in 24hr

I was playtesting Dust2 new yesterday 5v5 and its a very fine retexture. I like it, not as garish as Nuke but a lot brighter in that way. The gameplay differences are minor but I read Devs are open to further mods.
The car on Long A can be fully climbed behind easily now, no sticky parts or fire. The car on B should be checked twice for hiding players

I do really like the look of the textures etc. going by what I've seen on videos, haven't had a chance to play it yet though - might give it a try tonight.

I also reported someone the other day and had a message earlier saying he had been banned. And here's me thinking VAC didn't do anything!
Wow I'd always thought VAC was completely useless. Good to hear they are at least banning some cheaters, I've mostly been playing offline with bots as it's the only way to avoid cheaters nowadays.

VAC only bans well known cheats. Other cheaters are banned from recordings of the game being shown to "judges" who then render a decision. the video has to clearly show cheating and it has to get the thumbs up from more than 1 judge i believe. if judges make poor decisions they are no longer allowed to be judges.

Wrong. I've reviewed overwatch cases and it's nothing like you described.

Only had a couple of rounds of Casual on it last night, but plays quite nicely - removal of the dark areas (e.g. tunnels) seems to make it a little less tiring to play.

Only change I don't like is around pit area, the platform to the side is a lot wider, but more open, and they have removed my "nobody expects you to be there" spot - the small ledge that used to let you balance above the pit.

Agree with the change at pit, that ledge was really useful for a cheeky boost over smoke too - no one expects you to be there :p I do like the map though overall.
