By protect I mean reduce risk. It is a shame it keeps having to be explained.

To suggest people don't go out when coughing and sneezing is just ridiculous.

There are now several direct comparisons to be made where countries and states (i.e. those in the USA) that had no mask (or vaccine) mandates that fared better than those that did implement them. How are those explained? I'll try and link

Almost all the studies in face covering effectiveness aren't proper full randomised control group type studies. The few that are (and the Bangledeshi study is one) don't really support the conclusions they claim.
 
Well it caught up with me, was wondering when the inevitable was going to happen given all you hear is how cases are going crazy.
Went to bed last night perfectly fine, and today felt like absolute crap...positive test.
Going on holiday in one week so hopefully I shake it fast. I thank the vaccine for muting what may have been even worse symptoms.

So as an asthmatic and hay fever sufferer, according to you, I’m not allowed to go out?
 
Wish people would get this attitude out of their minds - all coughs are covid. I cough as one of the side effects of my preventer inhaler is coughing. Also hay fever makes me cough.
 
I decided months ago that it's now every man for himself and the conscientious will think of other's well being as much or more so than their own.

Others will not and that's the way it seems it will be for the foreseeable future.

Many here undoubtedly think me a ******** but I am a ******** who will neither cough all over you, nor mock you for whatever self preservation lengths you feel obliged or desire to go to :)

I often think back to when photographs of people in makeshift masks were mockingly posted on social media, and a few short months later the vitriol started when people WITHOUT a mask were seen in crowded environments :)

You should tell Surgeons they don't need to wear their masks because it's pointless, doesn't do anything :rolleyes:
