COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

And will a certificate to say I tested positive from a RFT/antigen test suffice?

The answer seems to be no.

What constitutes proof of recovery?

Proof of immunity acquired through previous infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus issued in written or digital form in German, English, French, Italian or Spanish.

The proof must comply with the following criteria as set out in the Ordinance on Coronavirus Entry Regulations:

  • Type of testing (normally a PCR test) that may be used to demonstrate prior infection,
  • The amount of time that must have elapsed since the test demonstrating prior infection or the test certificate needed to end self-isolation following a prior infection,
  • The maximum period of time that may have passed since the test performed to demonstrate prior infection.
Please inform yourself on the website of the Robert Koch Institute about the current requirements for the recognition of proof of recovery.

whats the crack now after testing postive with a lft, i know you can still carry on as normal (not doing that )
but are you suppost to get a pcr or just go in the lft?
Just go off the LFT to be honest. If it's the same again tomorrow then it's pretty damn likely you have Covid. Then after second negative after x days and you are free!

I'm lucky that I can work from home, so I just told the boss I'll be working from home next week.

He said fine, don't pass it around haha.

So like with the second vaccine my symptoms have appeared quickly and disappeared all in a space of 24 hours. Still have a funny chest this morning with little coughing here and there but body ache and slight headache completely gone.

Two schools of thought. Personally, I went with isolating until I started getting negative tests, but this did take 15 days. My other half went back to work on day 11 despite still testing positive. She also took 15 days to get 2 negative tests.

I spoke to 119. They say although there's no legal requirement to isolate the guidance is you need to get 2 negatives, but near in mind that back in the day, when PCRs were enforced, it was 10 days isolation from when you first became symptomatic OR tested positive and you were to stop using LFTs for months because you were likely to detect the same moribund infection.

So really, it should be 2 consecutive days negative or 10 days, whichever is shorter. I just did the extra days because I still felt rough and have a garden and a local co-op that does 2 hour delivery, so I had no need to go anywhere :)

You're most contagious in the first 5 days.

You seem to have chosen to be unvaccinated so you'll just have to accept there are places you can't go.

But if I can prove I have immunity what's annoying Is the inconsistent approach where some countries will accept lft proof rather than pcr.

Uk and Netherlands will let anyone in. Dubai anyone with a test.

Etc

You’re choice, you make your own bed

Sad its Germany’s choice have to be so strict.

Yet we know they let in maybe 1/4 million people from ukraine via the Polish border without even a test let alone vaccination - which is selective application of the rules.
