COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

What narrative would that be then, since you have failed to prove what you originally said it was?

Well its hardly my fault that those pushing an extreme long covid narrative fold at the first sign of questioning.

Maybe you should be more questioning and should have picked up on the highlighted posts previously rather than waving them through because it suits your agenda?

I could be wrong, but i think he's trying to promote the narrative he isn't very good at comprehension. At least I have the excuse of brain fog ( as a consequence of LC ). Don't know what his excuse is .... probably too much banking.

Ah so your original post wasn't the produce of a rational mind - ok fair enough, apology accepted - we could have got there a lot quicker if you had been more honest.

Unlike I suspect the majority on the thread I have long covid. I'm also in groups with many others with long covid.

I don't know whether I'd class it as long COVID or not but it took me a full 3 months to shake off the full effects and I still have slight occasional, but noticeable, issues with fatigue which I didn't have before COVID, digestive system sensitivity and I don't seem to get the same quality of sleep I used to. While relatively mild it is all distinct, started when I had COVID and not something I had problems with in this way before COVID.

The irony of this is hilarious.

You've highlighted posts from two users in a thread with hundreds of different posters to try and claim that the narrative on here is that everyone gets long covid.

Your own agenda couldn't be clearer given how convinced you were that a single study made your whole opinion on long covid correct.

So back to one of my original questions - how many posts do you need to see?

Not necessarily that it will "take over" but if an increasing number of people suffer from something that results in their ability to function fully, even if it "only" lasts for say 3 months* it is going to affect society significantly.

@Ayahuasca is long covid going to affect society significantly or not?

Far more than two that's for sure to claim the entire narrative on here is along those lines.

Again, I could go and find two posts in this thread that allude to long covid not even being real and claim that's the narrative on here. Doesn't really work that way though, does it?

There will always be one or two posters whose opinions are at the extreme ends of the spectrum.

Is the narrative here that everyone is going to get long covid or not? A question originally posed to you that you've still failed to prove and continue to grasp at straws.

It's actually hilarious that you think Werewolf's post supports your original claim :D

You're up to 3 posters, but only one of them has posted anything close to what you originally claimed was the narrative of this thread.

I think you have brain fog too.. so you agree that long covid will affect "society significantly"? But only by affecting a small %? How does that work exactly?

I've never claimed such things.

I see you're still failing to answer the questions posed at you and are only interested in having your own questions answered. Hmm, where've I seen that before?

You do realise that if the rate of long covid increased by just a few percent, it could have a significant impact on society, right, and that it would still be a small percentage? That's still a long way away from your claim about the everyone getting long covid narrative that apparently exists on here.

That is a dishonest question at best, a relatively small number of people often place a disproportionate burden on society...

You can't bang on about honesty as you did above when you frequently twist people's posts to suit your own narrative. It isn't a good look.

You are going round in circles defending others ill thought out comments.

I only looked back a couple of months worth of posts for those three - if you seriously think that the discussion of long covid in this thread is rational and not full of hyperbole then good for you.

It's just one of us going round in circles. I'm not defending their opinions on long covid, either. I stated quite clearly that at least one of these posters' views was likely to be exaggerated. I'm challenging your opinion of the narrative here.

Overall, the discussion of long covid is relatively balanced. You've highlighted a tiny percentage of the posts in this thread (some of which didn't even support your original claim) to try and justify your assertion about the overall narrative of the thread.
