COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

Tested positive today for the first time with a super strong red line on the LFT. Not feeling so great but hoping I'll be all okay for holiday next Saturday :)

That’s what I got. Everyone else had barely visible lines. Mine is as thick as the control.

Currently 38.5C, dizzy, cough, muscle aches and heart palpitations. Throats on fire.

Jesus, what age are you?

The immortals live among us :D

After 2 and a half years, I finally got covid ( that I’m aware I’d anyway). It’s been super mild so far for me but the other half has it bad (but she will live). Biggest inconvenience is me having to cook as wife has it bad ish.

Day 3, still have a fever, although it’s dropped slightly I think. Lungs feel horrendous, so sore when I cough and a decent load of crap coming up. Feeling out of breath just sitting down. I’ve had a worse chest infection, so it’s all relative I guess. Work are expecting me to be in this weekend, they’ll be lucky to see me next week at this rate. How the hell is this after 3 jabs!

I had a runny nose for a couple of days and tested positive today, thick line on the positive but aside from a runny nose I feel fine.

Amazing isn’t it? There are so many factors involved (some of which aren’t yet understood) that it effects different people in different ways!
There are people at work getting frustrated because they've had Covid and it was nothing, and they're seeing colleagues with Covid and getting stood down.

..Why can't they just man up and get on with it like everyone else..

Unfortunately, I think this will always be the way.

Not had that kind of thing at work, probably helps the top two managers had it pretty bad, one of them twice, so they know what it can be like - otherwise I think there might be more pressure for people to "man up".

I do see that kind of attitude amongst some acquaintances though - couple of them quite vocal about it on Facebook because it wasn't even as bad as a cold for them and too thick to see it might be different for others.

Indeed, I’m not sure work even believe that I even have symptoms. Fortunately I barely have any time off, I think 1 day in the last 18 months, so hopefully that helps.

tested positive 2 days ago, felt achey all over all bunged up lost smell and dry mouth.
hot and cold sweats one night.

a little bit of a cough left but been ok.

unvaccinated .

Temperature has stayed down, so hopefully the fever is done. More of a cough now and a fair bit of crap coming up. Didn’t sleep particularly well. Steady steps I guess. So many long work days coming up over the next couple of weeks and hard to imagine even doing half a day at the moment.

same as me

Tired and a very sore throat for two days.I have had this a month or so back as well. No other symptoms and not sure if it's covid related as I have not tested.

Just take Beecham powders and throat sweets, stay in bed and read.

Pretty sure it’s a secondary bacterial infection at this point. Hard to tell if it’s improving or not, although the lack of a fever would suggest it is. I’ll see how it progresses tomorrow, I may need antibiotics. The last time I held out with a chest infection without getting antibiotics I nearly hospitalised myself, but at least this one is nowhere near as bad.
