Cricket World Cup thread

In all likelihood this game will 'count' in the super 8's as well as the results between the 2 teams who qualified out of their group count in the super 8's so for example if WI and Pakistan qualify then the WI will start the next round with 2 points (or is it 3?).

Same as England really could do with beating New Zealand on Friday as that will probably count as well.
 
Its strange that the Pak batting has failed as opposed to the bowling which everyone has been slating as not having a chance. Cricket eh? :o

Seriously though the Pak bowling was good at the start but near the end we gave up too many runs and the WI took advantage of that. If anything i was confident that the Pak batting would have easily chased that target but the WI bowling so much better and tighter than the Paks. But also the fielding of the WI was ten times better than Pak's but the Paks are known for their extremely poor fielding..how many boundaries they gave up through mis-fields was a bloody joke.

Looking forward to the England game, they have a toughie against the Kiwi's...at the moment im staying neutral in this...but its going to be a tough game for the English.

Foregone conclusion really after the way WI bowled them at the start of the innings...soon as i saw the run rate creep up to 6...i knew it was more or less over for Pak.

Well done to the WI, definitely deserved to win and Pak need to hang their heads in shame...their team is a flippin joke:mad:...even worse than the English:p

Inzi and Woolmer need to look at their tactics seriously, to put the WI into bat first was a stupid and un-necessary call if you ask me.
 
How crazy is this all turning out to be ..

Windies collapsed against India... Pakistan thrashed South Africa with a crap bowling attack .. Pakistan collapse to Windies .. and most bizarre of all Australia scraped a win against England ..
 
Well the Scots are playing the Aussies, i have a feeling that this match will be a massacre for the poor Scots but after yesterdays game, nothings certain.

Another match Canada vs Kenya looks quite interesting, im secretly hoping the Canadians pull off a win against the Kenyans but i would think the Kenyans are a far more superior team than the Canadians. But heres hoping the Canadians can sneak a win :p.

LOL yeh could be a massive total for the Aussies, wonder if they will declare once they get to 500...tbh 500 isnt impossible to achieve so will be interesting to see how high the Aussies can get that target.

Like i said its gonna be a bloody massacre out there unless the Aussies collapse all of a sudden :p

LOL tell me about it, the Irish had the SA on the ropes in the warm up match and they must really fancy their chances against the Paks. Wouldnt surprise me at all if the Irish beat them:eek::p. Then theres Zimbabwe who arent exactly push-overs so they must fancy their chances. Tbh on one hand i want Pak out so we can be spared more silly performances but then i want them to go on and thrash the English and other teams but i guess thats wishful thinking from me:p.
 
Hehe looks like the Scots got a breakthrough, got Gilchrist out for LBW...he was well on his way to a half century as well. Bowled by some fella called Brown who played for England back in the '90's:p.

I reckon Ireland will beat Zimbabwe - They're bloody awful. Can't see them beating SA though, they're my pick to win it.
