Cruicial M4 0009 Firmware Update

This is from my laptop.... not tried in my main system yet. But nice improvements for 10 mins work. Seems to be around 3 seconds faster on bootup also.

Read this thread and rjkoneill guide hehe.

No body seems to mention data loss.

So updating FW is not like formatting is it ? :)

Ie i wont loose my data :)

I am tring to update my new 256gb M4 but for some reason it wont recognise the disc I have burnt.
I have now burnt it twice and it is showing up in windows as an iso

I downloaded it from the crucial site and burnt as an iso

does it need a soecific disc name or am i missing something

bios set to boot from cd and set to ide mode??

help... lol
 
it just says boot disc not recognised or operating system missing??

I have changed another sata setting to ide and compatability mode but the same

anyone??
 
I have now tried turning on plug and play in ahci

i have tried moving my dvd rom to another of the sata 3gs ports from a sata gbs ports still the same
 
OcUK have just aquired more stock of these today, mine has been shipped :D

The new stock also has Firmware 0009 already loaded onto them.

Just installed my M4 256GB running 09 firmware

My scores seem a little low, can someone have a look and let em know what you think?
I dont know how to paste the overall score sheet in

However I am getting in AS-SSD

How do the new speeds compare to other drives like the vertex 3 now? It's pretty funny if they're similar only without the reliability issues.

Recieved my Crucial M4 128GB SSD this morning! :D :D However, I am at work still and I will not be able to test it until late tonight when I get home! :(

Only one thing that worried me slightly, it says on the information printed on my SSD that it has Firmware version 0002, even though on OcUK it states that these batch should have the latest 0009 loaded. Has anybody else who pre-ordered theirs & recieved theirs today say the same thing?? I'm not all that concerned or anything but I just wanted to see if anyone else has the same thing?

that's strange it def says v 009 on the website...
maybe they are actually v009 on the drive but the sticker wasn't updated?
