Crysis 2 is another console port, no DX11!!!!

THIS COMMENT RIGHT HERE IS THE REASON WHY WE ARE KILLING PC GAMING.

Its a Demo, its not the full game.... dont listen to every1 else make your own mind up.... I enjoyed it!!!

If there's a demo, and I don't like it, I don't buy the game.

It's common sense... If you buy a game after not liking the demo in the hope that "it'll be different, and better!" then you've got no-one to blame but yourself (when you don't like the full game either).

40 FPS is good according to some of you guys? Feels horrible and juddery, I need a minimum of 60, nothing else below that will do.

Don't care if it's a demo, the final retail product will be exactly the same. They'll patch XFire support in like they'll patch DX 11 hahahaha.

Bad Company 2 gives me 60fps and looks wonderful using the highest settings at 1920x1200, as good as Crysis in many areas especially in DX11.

DX11 :D

you must be one of these people with special eyes and brain then

Downloaded the demo last night and have been playing it a few hours today and although the game doesn't look amazing, especially the textures, plus the bloom is overdone, it's not too bad game play wise.

At first I hated it, I mean the guns take up too much screen space, the FOV is terrible, and it feels very much like COD. It has grown on me somewhat over the last couple of hours; it doesn't feel like you are as limited in choice of paths, being able to jump around and climb onto ledges etc, quite fluidly I might add, makes for some varied and fast combat.

The suit system is also great in my opinion, being able to quickly switch to armour to take people out, then as someone pops out to kill you zip off and stealth then change directions; you can really screw with people.

Campers are not a great threat as long as you are fast at switching suit modes and are aware of your position and possible pathways, and the kill streaks (apart from the UAV) really are not that overpowered.

I can't stress enough how much I hate this stupid system which has caught on, where you kill three people and suddenly you and your entire team are allowed to see enemy positions. It takes the brains out of a game, hell even the spotting system in Bad Company is terrible, people just shoot at the triangles rather than the people.

Also very small maps. =(

Feels too much like CoD for me. FoV is indeed terrible too.

Graphics are blurry and the textures are poor, though they are smooth and colourful. Very nice, but not as good as the first game.

Suit system is a downgrade from Crysis 1. I don't want to slide along the floor. I liked the 4 modes in the first game better than the new system. It allowed more variety while remaining challenging but useful. In Crysis 2 the suit doesn't really make much difference apart from invisibility.

Not sure about this really. Seems more of a side step than a step back in many ways, not sure if I can be bothered.

Go play Crysis capped at 30 FPS, then up it to 60 then tell me what you think. Some people have poor eye sight by the looks of things.

Well said, when it comes to fps and third person games between 30 and 60fps there is a Noticable difference!. RTS not so much, i can distinctly tell without a frame rate counter if a game is heading towards the 30 mark

True - but Crysis copes a damn site better at 30fps than pretty much any other fast paced game I can think of.

hmm i don't agree with that and i am a FPS whore

40fps minimum is defiantly playable maybe not for online games but for SP its fine

anyway the lack of DX11 or even DX10 is a disgrace considering that was one of the main selling points of the original

hope the game bombs big time on the consoles

I ahd a blast of the 360 demo a while back, I was impressed.

Methinks it isn't a straight port or else the PC demo would have been released earlier(at around the time of the 360 one) I think.

I think people will be pleasantly surprised with this one.

I've played the latter stages of Crysis at 15fps, still playable. I think I just must be better at compensating for it than you.
