Got it working by opening AVG and disabling the "Resident shield" part of the program. Just played it for a few minutes. Doesnt run too well on my rig but thats to be expected. 24 players on the server but hardlty ever met anyone. Thinking that maybe its a game that grows on you. Not too sure of it yet but then again I didnt like BF2 the first time I played it and I love it now!

fell foul of avg deleting it , can always re-install ... just lazy

Yep theres a noticeable boost but it still runs around the 20-60 fps area. I guess my system is just showing its age
