This is really, really good. It's like they've taken all the little things that spoilt Crysis, fixed them, added some more tweaks and improvements, made the game run better, and then slapped some great missions on top. Very very impressive.

Getting an average of ~30fps on my setup @ 1920x1200, Enthusiast settings, 2xAA....at last, Crysis is playable with the eye-candy turned up!!!*

*even if I did have to buy a 4870X2

how the hell you doing that? can't get anywhere near that here! what OS you using? cause it feels pretty sluggish to me, wonder if i need to format disk or defragement :confused:

I'm finding this is running almost as bad as the original. Certainly not the massive improvement they suggested it would be. What a surprise!

Run it in direct x9 mode if you're using vista, made a world of difference for me (right click on the launch icon in your games menu, select 'play DX9'). Looks nearly as good but runs twice as fast.

Of course yes I forgot about that! So long since I've played a DX10 game haha. I'll see how it goes!

I want to get this but I feel I should finish crysis first. I got to the bit in the spaceship. Dont suppose someone could email me a save file around this point. It seems theres no way of jumping to that level in the game.

grrrrrrrrr i have been downloading it since 5 today. i just came back to it, and it said 100% ready, went to play it and now it says updating, 10 hours till ready!!!! wtf :confused:

Ok been playing it on DX9 and to be honest I am still not impressed. It does run better than Crysis but it's not exactly fantastic. Seems like a much better game though so far.

Mine won't pass the SecuROM check. It says this:

An error occurred during the online release date check. Click RETRY to try again.

If the error persists, please click CANCEL to abort the process and find a solution at the support website: http://common.ea-europe.com/warhead/warhead_cs.html

Then when i go to the site, it's down!! Any idea's? It is legit, not a download or anything.

I just want to play the fricking game!!! I can't find anything online about this problem. One thing I have noticed though is that the EA download manager (that installed along with the game) says my internet is offline, but it's not. Infact I'm posting right now, so I know it's not!

ran into a little problem with vista + steam version it will start up in dx10 mode and when i went looking for the dx9.exe i couldnt find it even when i went into my games on vista and tryied to right click on warhead there wasent an option for dx9 finaly after abit of looking around found how to get it into dx9

My games list > right click the game > properties > general > set launch options...type "-dx9" without quotes, click OK

just incase somebody else needs this

EDIT: ugh i should have just looked in the other crysis warhead topic somebody already wrote it in there

Well...your PC ain't as fast as mine mate! Using Vista 64, DX10 32bit.
