Only reason I use 4:3 is so I can see all the HUD and radar easily while sitting close to the screen, in full screen it makes it very difficult to see the radar.

Go into console and type cl_radar_scale with a number after to make your radar a bigger scale. Not sure what numbers are for a good scale but im sure you can experiment
 
It's not the size of the radar, it's the fact that it's in the top left corner. In a 16:9 mode this just means physically moving your eye further to view it than in a 4:3 mode where the whole FOV is a lot narrower.

There is no option to change the default location of any items on the HUD - it would be nice to be able to customise it a bit (i.e. centre up the major bits like radar, ammo etc).
 
I don't think you can change the radar size because that would be cheating but there is an option to move it further from the edges of the screen called HUD_scale I think, I have it on 4:3 with the HUD moved in as far as possible.

I think the reason you cannot do that is because in competitive play it would be classed as cheating, so everyone has to have the same, you can download a new hud called competitive hud or something but it looks ugly.

Im sure you can make it bigger.

If you make it bigger it will aid in you being able to see it. It's not cheating
 
You can change the size of the map shown in the radar, effectively zooming it in/out but not the size of the radar itself. You can also centre it on your position and turn rotation on/off.
 
I found if I'm too far away from windows I can't see through them, instead they just turn solid grey. The view distance option is cheat protected so I can't change that. Is there any fix for this? It's usually a problem on de_lake.

I tried the new gun. Its very cheap (300) and is quite powerful with little recoil. I quite liked it. Although tbh, I only tested it for one round.

It should be exactly like the P250, just it is auto and has 2 mags (12 bullets each).

The AUG scope became horrible. I tried it for one round and couldn't hit a barn door when crouched. Seems like they made it quite worse.
 
Just win matches but it is quite hard to gain levels once it has worked out your level because unless you are a 1 man army and kill everyone then it depends if you get a good team.

Sorry I thought you meant skill in general. That's what I meant anyway. :p

It seems even though I have put hundreds of hours into this game I still sometimes can't even hit a barn door.

I've seen players getting scores of around 20 kills - 5 deaths near on every game but all I seem to get is 10 kills - 10 deaths.

I don't know about anyone else but it seems like some players just walk through you like you're not even there.

It's like they run around going "bang dead" run a few steps "bang dead".
 
Check your connection etc. that you do not have any loss or choke in "net_graph 3 " console....

Other than that you have to use the angles properly and not be "captain obvious" and run where people expect you to all the time, you could probably double your K : D ratio just by changing those 2 things.
 
Anyone else getting headshot instantly? For instance I meet an enemy and we both start firing and I will get HS the first bullet he fires. If its a pistol then it seems they only fire 1 bullet and never seem keep firing not even for a millisecond more.

Best I can describe it is I'm going around with a 2 foot wide head.
