CS:GO Discussion

Just had a quick go on the new beta, it seems a lot better than the previous one.. but they changed the radio voices/commands for the worse! it sounds like horrible cheap bot voices. Hope it just temp.

Constructive this brought a lot to the thread ty.

Feel a bit silly even giving the comment a reply but here goes. CS for me is my favourite franchise and I for one have been waiting for what feels like an eternity for an update to come along for this game. So when one comes along which is sticking to the roots of the game and is £10 I think that its worth going without takeaway for 1 night of the month to purchase it.

Worst case scenario and it is as awful as your saying it is then at least by buying the game it will show valve how much people want a new cs game but at least im supporting my favourite franchise...
 
Just tried the beta with the new update and it feels a hell of a lot better now. Haven't played it for around a month before this. Whatever they've done the guns feel a lot more CSS like now.

Well that sucks. Having it feel more like CSS makes it pointless. Not to mention CSS is terrible. It's like they are doing the stupid CoD rehash thing.

I'll still buy and play, but **** you Valve. Why can't you make something fresh? And even if not, i thought this was meant to bridge the gap behind source and 1.6 players. No it's just Source + updated maps. Now wonder they are charging just over a tenner for it.
 
I said the guns feel like CSS, trust me if you'd played it before this beta update the bullet spread was horrible. It's much more tight now I feel. The rest of the game is fresh and has a new feel about it.
 
Yeah, the bullet spread was horrible, i agree with you completely. Sources isn't much better though.

Regardless of sounding like a 1.6 elitist, having guns and recoil similar to that but with everything else how it currently is, they'd have a popular game on their hands and the new standard for CS players. Instead it's gonna be a game in which people will play for a few months and then go back to their respective game (1.6 or Source).

I really want this to be good, and i won't speak too much 'cause i'm ignorant to the latest update but it just seems they are doing it wrong to me. Oh well.
 
Anything really new like blowing holes in walls?

Ive been dreaming about that since doom 1 and only really bf3 in its desecrated glory does it and arma in a crappy way :p

I noticed the fire thing, drifting smoke would be cool. grenade shock wave moving smoke, would blow me away :cool:
