Just reinstalled the beta cause of the update, the guns do feel a lot better now, M4 and USP are missing silencers still, not sure if that's intended?

Only thing stopping me from pre-ordering is the CT's running like they soiled themselves, so annoying

To be fair in all the CS betas/versions over the years the player models have had weird stuff like that.
 
Really want this game to do well, love to see the split community all move to CS:GO and people can stop having the whole 1.6/CSS argument.

God Speed Valve, Make me proud.
 
I was really stupid and played the first week of my beta experience in "Couch" mode...I was complaining to myself saying this feels really "Consoley".
 
I just cant wait to play a new multiplayer shooter where on day one I can use all the guns and equipment (that I have paid for!) on a level playing field with out having to grind along my stats to 'unlock' things and actually have fun playing the game :D

It would be even better if there are no achievements but I'm not gonna hold my breath on that!!

Feel a bit silly even giving the comment a reply but here goes. CS for me is my favourite franchise and I for one have been waiting for what feels like an eternity for an update to come along for this game. So when one comes along which is sticking to the roots of the game and is £10 I think that its worth going without takeaway for 1 night of the month to purchase it.

Worst case scenario and it is as awful as your saying it is then at least by buying the game it will show valve how much people want a new cs game but at least im supporting my favourite franchise...

Well i've had beta access for quite some time and wasted a few hours on it. I guess to me it just feels wrong, I was a high level 1.3-6 player and would have been 'pro' for css. This pants feels like its gone into arcade mode or something? I can't quite put my finger on it but it just seems pretty void of skill. Any of the new weapons just appear to be there for a laugh rather than having any actual use.

I always wonder what it would be like if games companies worked on re-hashing old classics like films do with star wars etc. If you polished the original cs a bit rather than creating an entirely new one which differs wildly, you'd be on to a winner.

Can't argue with supporting valve though
 
not really, used to play for insertcoin, probably would have been in the world cyber games in singapore had I not needed to take time off for a levels. Plenty of people I used to play with are doing the 'pro' circuit thing still, my timing was awful for missing out on all that stuff!
 
like i said before i've been in the beta for a year and a lot of good feedback has been ignored and with all the updates I've seen there hasn't been many with major improvements so i doubt they will for the released game , nothing will beat 1.6 imo
