CS:GO Discussion

I always used to use smoke nades bounced off walls to make people turn around because they make the same higher pitched noise that the flash bang made..

but then you have to deal with other stupidities such as no collisions

Are FF and collisions really that important to you? Just stop shooting your own team and standing in the way :p

In seriousness though, I wonder if they are hard coded into the Casual and Competitive game modes, or wether they will be server variables once the game is released? Maybe Casual and Competitive will be fixed, and there will also be a custom mode?

I've been playing this against bots this morning, haven't touched an FPS game on PC for quite a long time so I have rubbish reactions and no muscle memory. Enjoying it though, I'll hopefully be able to aim and shoot real people by tomorrow. Still, I'm not sure if I prefer it over CS:S, the cross platform play excites me though. :)

Same here, used to play 1.6 religiously and I absolutely suck balls now haha. Hopefully after a few more hours play I'll be able to kill someone lol!

Yes but casual mode is quite different...

I would like competitive mode but with no FF...

This is not through any fault of my own... It is because other people are **** and keep shooting me on publics with FF on which is extremely annoying....

They should just have competitive mode with FF on or off selectable like in the old CSS and CS 1.6

wait for full release, it is more than likely that it will have the same options as previous games. I am waiting for full release so that servers would ban awp, as currently there's no point in doing it for beta for 10 days.

Its not that different. No collisions or FF, auto buys armour, and a higher starting money which is made redundant after the first round anyway.

No collisions is great. People don't get in your way, and you don't get that annoying glitchy thing when you run into people.

After being reminded to change from the Intel GPU to my proper, Nvidia one (thanks Killswitch! :p) the game is running perfectly on maximum. Absolutely love it! Can't wait to get some games going with everyone. :)
