Wow, used to play vs TLR a long time ago and you even casted one of my matches haha.
Tempted to get back into CS but not played since CS 1.6. When GO first came out, I tried it and thought it was terrible. I've heard it's solid now though.
Worth delving back into it? I wasn't bad back during the 1.6 < days. I take it not a lot has changed in terms of the guns etc?

CSGO quite a bit diff from 1.6 movement and shootingwise but hey the core is still CS. just try it and be welcomed by retarded 12 year old ukranian/russian squeekers not able to stfu during a round.

Apart from all the EU servers being infested by Russians and the former soviet block it's fine!
It has and it hasnt. Most of the weapons mechanics will be different but it just a case of playing and adjusting to it.
Beta 2 player here pre 1.6 and it took me some time to get back into it. The MM and pub game system is excellent much better than before imo.
Be warned in MM you get many """"" who try and walk over you or troll you. Just had a MM the other day. Everyone at least in double digits kill wise. This mouthy bugger on 3 -14 started getting fustrated blaming everyone, calling noobs and mentioned we didnt know what we were doing etc. We still won with 4 but no thanks to him, yet he was bragging and cocky as hell to the opponent afterwards. He was *Eagle* believe it or not. totally clueless

Small thing but you can block people in game, no need to listen to noise. 1.6 had this but it was a bit more awkward to do
Lots of other small changes, it works well generally vs my old cs games all casual random. AK is not so accurate, smoke is good, all adds up
Just when you thought it was safe to go back into mm... lost 6 in a row rank down, won 2 rank up.

Well I returned tonight briefly after my 5+ year break. Felt so odd initially. But I remembered my buy key combinations which mostly haven't changed. Played Dust 2 and remember it well. Went to my old spot and within a min or 2 felt at home. Bit rusty with the aiming etc but I managed a modest but acceptable 6 kills to 6 deaths by the end of round.
That included a nice little flashbang + flanking 2 kill streak with the p90.
I'm thinking I might well return to CS now and join you guys one night if a server is running. I am done with COD and BF now so this seems like the place to be.

They've crossed the line there... I feel sorry for that person who made this advert, he was most likely raised in pathology. Hopefully they'll get a nice big fine to pay...

The down syndrome guy is Brosser's brother. He made a video justifying his actions which still didn't go down well with the community. He appeared in many of Brosser's video iirc
for some reason, a nice break from csgo and I have returned with the ability to play to an adequate standard.
ranked up fairly easily to MG2 this evening. around 5 wins with top frag and mvp on most games. wasnt feeling it a few months back but I really enjoyed playing the last few days.
got this relatively unexciting ace this evening too. really shouldn't have missed the first shot on the last guy but apart from that it was alright. ish.
