Yes same thing for me, I have been told a few times its because a huge amount of cheaters got banned.

Already got my money back from the operation pass, got a case and sold it at £7. New knife looks awful, like a flip knife but worse and the animation is bad too.

Hi Guys, wondering if I can pick some brains with CS:GO performance.

My FPS since owning the machine has been 220 - 299fps on max settings @ 1080 res.

As of last night, my FPS, over the course of about 15-20 minutes diminishes to about 100fps, it's still playable, but a hugely noticable difference over the higher FPS, particuarly when I'm running at 144hz on my BenQ XL2411Z monitor.

If I alt tab to windows and back into the game, it's absolutely fine for another 15-20 minutes.

Everything is at stock, temps are fine, running the latest AMD drivers, here is my spec;

- 4790k @ stock (4.4boost)
- Sapphire R9 290 Vapor-X
- 16gb Hyper X @ 2400mhz
- Gigabyte Gaming-7
- Samsung evo 850
- Win7 home premium sp1

I'm hoping it's related to the update, was absolutely fine before!! Nothing on my machine has changed. Any ideas, or is anyone else seeing the same thing?

From my experiance AMD cards aren't flavoured by source engine, that's why so many go for Nvidia. But for me after the update the performance has increased and the textures seem to be more clearer on stretched res.
 
haven't tested new update yet as at work.

not too sure if i am going to bother with the operation, has anyone had chance to look at the new maps?
 
How long will this new operation run for?
I have been told that you can make the money back from these by just selling the first couple of cases you get at the beginning.

Source has very little to do with the gfx card and almost everything to do with CPU power.

Have a look at if something was running in the background using up CPU power and check your power options to make sure you've not gone to power saving mode by accident.
 
Well Tommy most launch options give negative affects such as the one I posted. Basically something is very wrong with your system if you aren't getting a solid 300fps with that setup. I have a 4770k @ 4.5, 8GB 2133Mhz RAM and a GTX680 (volt modded ofc) and I get easy 300+.

Were you by any chance playing one of the new maps or something like Cobblestone rather than the usual suspects? Cbble and Train give really low fps compared to most maps.

Must have been around 2008 I guess? Whenever I joined the forum, hence the name ( I should really change it)

I haven't played TF2 properly in a long time, though I have the odd game of CS:GO recently with around 200 hours or so in total I think (I was originally a TFC and CS Beta X player - wow I'm old)

Add me up, I'm sure we will be able to play some time.

PS. Anyway to actually stop playing with blatent wallhackers? Ranked up to LEM, 3 games since with 3 wallhackers.

Ah yes welcome to LEM, since I got LEM I have played about 4 MM games, 3 blatant cheaters and on the 4th match which seemed to be fine I had to leave after 8 rounds to go on a booty call so can't really complain there.
