CS:GO Discussion

I completely suck at this game and want to get better.

Any body about want to help me improve, currently at gold nova 4 and cant improve.

I have a few good games with a 3-4 game streak but then get into a server with idiots and get totally schooled (probably partly my fault too)

Only been playing a few weeks, used to play 1.6 and source a bit but dropped out of gaming for a long time, now getting back into it but starting to think im getting too old for FPS games!

CSGO is all about practice tbh, up to you how serious you want to take it.
If you want to improve watch some pro games / streams and you will pick up some stuff without knowing you do.

Also soloqueue generally is aids, try and have 3 at least when you join so you can kinda make up for retards or even better try and communicate with the mouthbreathers and tell them what to do.

Other then that pick a couple maps you play and play learn what points you like to play. I seem to be a B bombsite player on most maps, just stick with what you are comfortable with and improve the little things.

Im an old 31 nearly dead dude btw

I'm in the same boat as you dude just starting to get back into it.

Currently nova 3. I seem to get more than my fair share of complete idiots, don't get me wrong I'm not good either but just in general - not using communications, not listening etc.

Add me on steam dude I'll have some games with ya - waster123

Find your perfect sensitivity (make sure its not high)/aspect ratio/misc settings and stick with them. Don't be changing sensitive a lot.

Deathmatch a lot to train aim/muscle memory.
Add players you enjoyed playing with and queue as 3-5 (solo Qing is bad for ones health).

Deathmatch a lot to practice aim/muscle memory. Rifles and pistols.

While in comp games, actively think about what you are doing, what is the plan and try to avoid just playing on auto pilot. Especially true for T rounds, don't just stand around in some silly place. Cover something, push up with other team mates.

Stay positive and encourage team mates.

Really the only way to get good at counter strike is by playing a lot and playing smart. Most of the time you can put yourself in an advantageous position to kill someone by just listening and reacting accordingly.

just wasted £59 on chroma 2 keys

got 8 pump actions

2 awps

4 deagles

only 2 negevs

3 p250's

6 mp7

4 ak's

and karambit ultra violet which weighs in at about £195 :D
Nice work.
I opened a couple yesterday, got another m4a1s hyperbeast which I sold and then I opened an awp hyperbeast.

All in all I made profit so not too bad.

Ah,you've got a year on me :)

I've watched a fair few pro games and picked up some good stuff, nade spots etc.
I've also be practicing my aim on a aim training map. While I'm pretty good at hitting red dots hitting real people is another story, I swear the game hates me I think im getting head shots but hitting nothing but air. I can also tell my reactions aren't what they used to be, though playing on a tv probably isn't helping.

Are there any other good aim training maps or is it better to just jump into death matches?

cheers mate I'll add you later tonight if I'm on. (edit cant seem to find you?)

How do you find your perfect sensitivity?

when ever I play comp i Always try to play tactically, defending bomb zones, camping hostages etc but normally my team mates just do their own thing like they are still playing death match?
its amazing the difference when you get on to a team that work together.

Any one wants to add me i'm Hattori-Hanzo

Been doing 50+ at work plus with the GF and fam etc itching to get back playing this week.

Find it fasinating at how refined and co-ordinated the pro's are with the strats. They time nades perfectly with rushes etc. The game has evolved that step further from 1.6. Seems skill cap is much higher

don't say that the one point six police will get you!!!! ;)

the sky box fixes they've been doing to open maps upto strats have made a huge difference.

I think it's the best iteration of the game even if my heart will always have a soft spot for source.

but yes it highlights how many hours are put into the game by those at the top. Developing new strats finding counter smokes afteranalysing each others strats.

Had a good couple of games just then. Actually had a team full of Mic users and listening. Calling out hp and locations.

Makes the game 100x more enjoyable. Starting to get really into it, we'll I do then I'll have a crap expirence for a handful of games literally banging head against wall moments
