The main change from CSS is the smaller hitboxes. This, combined with the lack of tagging means that body shots are often worthless. I really do hope they implement some of the things in that thread ^. The first thing to do is to make a load of graphic cvars not cheat protected - I hope they do this on release! :)

Ah that makes sense. I also find that crouch firing a rifle vs someone hopping around with an SMG seems to always lose. This might explain things a bit - as I said, I'm rusty and haven't played in a fair old while, but my aim hasn't gotten that bad :p.

And I can see I'm going to have to play about with my graphic settings/turn things down to get a better CS:GO experience. The post processing effects - wow what a difference it makes with those off!

Anyone use IRC? #Hellborn on quakenet. I am considering turning my server into a pickup and we have a bot that will enable a join/start game. So should be able to get some 5v5 games on the go.

Tried to buy it last night but PayPal decided to mess up and now it says my payment is still processing when I go to buy it again and I don't want to be charged twice. Urgh.

Yea, Buy it, Loads of people have the same problem but GO should just appear above the beta
 
Played CS since 1.1. This game is very good, easily better than source and not far from 1.6; could be better with a few tweaks. I personally just need to get used to spraying at close-medium range with the rifles.

I had that message when I bought it on Sunday too. Half an hour later it was in my library and I've only been charged once :o.
 
I don't really care about gfx, it's CS after all. I will probably upgrade my PC soon anyway.

I'm tempted now to get the CS bundle off steam for £16........
 
You have to be mad if you think Source isn't looking dated right now. CS:GO looks ancient by modern standards. There are games that came out in 2007 that look far, far better.

But to be fair it looks .... OK.... Not great but ok....

And if it had loads of shaders and advanced physics etc. Then it would not run at a constant 60 FPS+ and tbh CS is not about graphics it is about gameplay and I would rather it runs perfectly smooth because anything less than 60FPS and it seriously affects the gameplay.

TBH with full graphics options AA/AF etc. it looks quite nice and sharp and clean... Not amazing graphics like BF3 or Crysis but it does the job and runs well whilst looking decent and playing at 60fps+
