CS:GO Discussion

I agree everything but your last few words. It's a team game? :p

Valve Matchmaking...

Team Game...

Choose one. Honestly tho while it is a team game don't get stressed about your team mates playing badly etc, just play your own game.

900 dpi Windows? F that I have mine at 1800 otherwise it moves way to slow.

400 / 450 and about 1.6 in game for me.

400 dpi and two screens in desktop...come at me bro

Follow the guide on this - TL;DR if tracking while moving is easy = raise dpi or jerky tracking you should lower the dpi and repeat

Dont most modern mice allow two dpi settings. Just set one desktop and one in game

The average difference when you solo is yourself I guess. The biggest factor I find is just is it a serious game or not.
Last game we got to round 3 only before enemy team gloating over their software advantage - not a serious game so relax, practise smokes or 'god flashes' or this kind of stuff
One advantage is to add randoms from previous game to the lobby who are at least half good/serious, especially if they can communicate. That usually matters most even if not brilliant themselves its a big difference if they relay info in game, can hold an angle

I would recommend going with 400dpi, if the sens is over 2.5-3+ than go upto 450-500 (depends on native cpi of the mouse) and or 800.

Most do, but some still don't.

I don't really know many pro teams from CS apart from the Top5, is there a british team that competes too? I don't really watch matches anymore, you guys are more upto date. :p

Dude pls "software advantage" and gullible people is the reason I have "Cheating is impossible in VAC secured servers" bound to a key. If you tilt after round 3 when people say that, the problem is with you, not the other team.

The mouse sens guide is OK but it disregards too much other stuff. Like giving aiming 100% priory over looking/corner checking. Not taking in to account snap aiming/flicks. Or taking in to account mobility suffering. These are all things that need to weighed up against precision. I'm sure that guide would have the majority of pro players lower their mouse sens if they followed it but tracking in that way is not the bee all and end all. I think though for the average brand new player with high sens its a good wake up call to under standing low sens better but needs to be tweaked once you find your range. :)

That roca vid you posted is a good example. He went from 400DPI 0.9 IG to 400DPI 2.0 IG. That's a massive loss of precision but clearly its working for him in different ways now.

Any programs I can use to see the locations of other players I'm against? Like a simple IP check or something.

There use to be a backdoor through steam, but...

You had to have:
-Wireshark
-Have them in your friends
-Attempt to call them for 3-5 seconds, they didn't have to pickup.

Boom, the IP address has been sniffed by wireshark. :p This was a brilliant weapon against cheaters and scammers, not that I used it or anything... :p

Edit p.s. doesn't work anymore...

How can you use that high sens? For desktop use, I usually switch to 800 and in-game 400. But since I'm currently using g100s, its 1000dpi. I never use drivers or any software provided unless the mouse has inbuilt memory, so I set it up and uninstall asap.

I can't stand the curser being so slow, it drives me up the wall. I find it easy to control and navigate around. Plus it's quicker to click X on the pr0n sites

400 0.9 seems too low for an entry fragger. I might have bumped mine up from that video, just seems a better guide or good starting point vs the natural inclination to transition from desktop movement

Sharp shooter using p90

I agree, apart from their crutch most hackers are very lacking but they make the games stupid to play. I know some can roll right over their xray advantage anyway. Reminds me of Road Runner & Wile E Coyote, they spend 5 seconds carefully lining up a shot maybe with cover and lose anyway somehow

I've used 400dpi and 1.0-1.2 before on stretched res... but that's just too low. My favourite is 1.7 and 400dpi.

I downloaded Neo cfg really long time ago, and ever since always played on same settings as I liked them. I remember he used 1.7 and 400dpi in 1.6, but he changes his sens quite a lot, marginally tho...

I levelled up yesterday. The next two games I get kicked from for no reason (I was the to player in my team).
I am only assume there were players on my team trying to help someone on there other team level up.

Stop being a whiny baby and find people to queue up with. Solo Qing any game is always gonna be unpredictable, find some friends to play with and the enjoyment levels will increase dramatically.
