not opened a case in ages

opened one - Nice M4 field tested.

this is where my pitiful skill level is at lol ive only put a total of 2hrs into this game so far and this is prob the best ive done,how long does it take to rank up? I'm only rank 1 still lol

you match making rank you only get when playing 10 competitive games - you can generally only play 2 games a day.

Ranking up at the start is super painful. You need to get to level 3 to play competitive. The fastest way to get XP is competitive. Thanks volvo.

So you have to play other modes. Which takes about 10-20 hours. Deathmatch was the fastest for me. You get a bonus multiplier each week for the first few hundred XP you earn that week. Another quick way would be to buy the operation pass for ~£4.30 and play those missions which reward a couple hundred XP per mission (they aren't too hard).

ahh I'm new to csgo and don't fully understand it yet,i have just been going to play game then team deathmatch,where do you find the competitive games? do I choose something different to team deathmatch?

ahh ok,its team deathmatch ive been playing so will continue with that,wow I'm going to have to put some hrs in then lol only clocked 2hrs so far :D
 
bit too small to see, F5 for screenshot is the best but Ive lost my setting for it unfortunately. It actually tags the other player when you post it on steam

For a new player thats pretty good, waiting for them to come to you not chasing them is especially unnoob like. Good use of mag7, in a week your'll be better then me probably. What fps did you play on console

roughly 2 weeks to get rank 3 XP, at least 10 days for a skill rank after that. Nova 1, if Im right you must send me a dragonlore when it drops. horrible skin anyway

thanks,i played basically EVERY fps on consoles lol from golden eye on the n64 to cod to battlefields,had a couple of games on csgo today and although I really like it I can only play it for a round or 2 at a time,it gets to much for me after that lol,

ok so 1 thing has started to annoy me a bit,why does everyone only want to play dust 2 (I think that's the name of the map) we play it then everyone votes for it again and again,i just played it 4 times in a row lol then got bored and quit,theres other maps that I havnt seen I would like to play

Cos low skilled and people deem it the easiest map. Use the community browser and find 128tick 16-20 player dm servers (ffa for when you improve a bit more, can be very frustrating initially) - should get better players who dont just run around like gimps and should get more map variety in there.
